Introverts, how is your day?
Douglas replied to Van Buren Supernova's topic in Miscellaneous Musings
Hi again, Artemis, Yes, this does sound like a very difficult situation for you, and once again: I'm sorry that you're going through it. The only thing we can hope; is that your Dad will "get better" soon, and go back to his place. -
Introverts, how is your day?

Hi Artemis, I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this! What did your Dad say to you, when you sat him down and explained to him how you felt and what you needed? -
Hi Arcadia, I'm so sad and sorry to hear of your losses; that's terrible; I'm glad that you've got a new kitty now, and yes; our pets love bossing us around; don't they!! Douglas
-
Yes; I know what you mean, and I agree, Van Buren Supernova; it is disheartening.

To Hikari and Carol, Gee you two ladies write well!! I'm really impressed; and I'm most sincere in that!! Great stuff; keep up the great work! Yes, I've always liked Craig, and I really hope he comes out of all this; all right. Sadly, though (and I don't mean Craig, here); a lot of men do take liberties!!
-
Hi Hikari, Thanks so much for this Post, and it's good to talk with you again: yes: as you say: it does make a good distraction from the loss of our pets. I love your way with words, by the way! It gave me a good laugh: so thank you for this! Well, I've watched Craig and have been keeping a bit of his an eye on his career over the last 34 years, and also having listened to him in interviews: I would have to say that I personally don't believe that Craig would have touched these ladies inappropriately! He seems like a really nice and sincere bloke, and he also seems to be very professional in his work! And as you say: it does seem a bit much; for these ladies to be suddenly acting all Prim and Proper, after being in a Bawdy and Raunchy show like this!! Unfortunately, there hasn't been anymore news about Craig and these allegations, since these allegations first came to light: which does seem to be a bit strange!! I just hope that Craig has found himself a good Lawyer. But,; having said all of this: please don't think that I condone any sort of sexual misconduct!! In fact: I condemn it!! Women should not have to be subject to any of this type of nonsense at all!! So if Craig is in fact guilty in accordance with what these ladies are saying, then yes, he should accept the consequences! Take care. Kindest Regards, always, Douglas

Dear Hikari, Thank you so much for your reply and for your kind words; I'm really sorry about your losses; that's awful; how heartbreaking for you!!! I can fully understand your pain, now that we've lost our Sasha; so I'm so very sorry. I think it's wonderful, that you do have another cat now; however; good on you! I think that's very strong of you, and don't worry: I'm sure that your new cat will become a Cuddler soon; you sound like a very good and nice parent. Once again: I'm so sorry to hear of your losses, and I hope you're coping all right; my wife and I are still trying to come to terms with the fact that our little Sasha is not here with us physically, anymore; but I agree with you: we also hope to meet him once we cross The Rainbow Bridge: in fact, we can't wait to see him again! So thanks very much, once again, Hikari. Take care. Kindest Regards, always, Douglas

Politicians! Do we really need them?! If so: I wish we didn't!! Our Politicians here in Australia are probably as bad, if not worse, than politicians anywhere else in the world, sadly!! They're embarrassing!!

To everyone, Thank you so much for your beautiful and kind words: I never expected such kindness; even though I have always felt this Forum it be very warm and welcoming and friendly! Take care: you're all wonderful people! Kindest Regards, always, Douglas xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxo

Dear Van Buren Supernova, Thank you SO very much for this; it's very nice and kind of you, and I really do appreciate it. I'm so sorry for the pain and sadness that you went through, with the loss of your Hamster; that's terrible, that you had to go through that! I really am very sorry. I think it's wonderful, that you look after all of those doggies in need!! You sound like a very nice person!! There should be more people like you in the world today!! And I agree wholeheartedly with you, about there not being such a thing as a replacement: we will never replace our little Sasha: my wife and I haven't had children together, and so he was our very own little Son! He slept on the bed with us, and he wanted to be with us 24 hours a day; which he was!!! We loved him so much!!! So even if we do eventually get another dog, it will never replace Sasha! I believe that Sasha will give my wife and I a Sign: telling us that he's happy for us to get another dog!! So we will wait until then. So thank you so much, once again, for your heartfelt and sincere and thoughtful and kind words: I really do appreciate them. Take good care. Kindest Regards, always, Douglas

Oh T.o.b.y, you poor thing!! That's terrible!! I'm so very sorry!! Yes, I know exactly what you mean: it is very hard to accept that our pets have gone: I'm still having trouble in coming to terms with it; And I'm very sorry also, to hear about your Mom's horse. Yes, you're right: Dogs become real friends, and part of the family; our little Sasha was just like our very own little Son! I don't think we'll ever fully recover from his passing.
-
Aw: that's so nice, Carol!! I bet you're glad that you did that! And of course: our pets will be in our hearts forever!!
-
Hi Caya, Aw: that's lovely: about Basic! And I know what you mean; Well, we had our little Sasha cremated by a company who specialises in that sort of thing, and now we've got Sasha's Ashes in a little Ceramic Urn here at home with us; and they even gave us a Certificate with his name on it, and also with his date of Birth (12th of December, 2003) and his Date of Passing (21st of January, 2019): and also with some of his curly white hair attached!
-
Hi Carol, Thanks so much for your kind words, and also for the insights into getting "signals" from our departed pets. Yes, I agree with you and Caya: I'm sure that our Sasha will let us know when he feels that it's the right time for us to get another dog; And I'm very sorry and sad to know of your losses of your beloved pets, too. Kindest Regards, Douglas

Caya: Thank you so much for your Empathy; your Sympathy; and your Kind Words; they are very much appreciated! It probably is a bit too painful, to post pics of our dear little boy; at this stage, anyway; And I'm very sorry for the loss of your beloved ones: Diva, and Basic. My wife and I believe that we are receiving "SIGNS" from our little departed boy (SASHA)! We think we hear little noises and barks, and see flashes of white! He was a little MALTESE-POODLE Cross, and had nice white curly hair. Yes, we will never fully recover, but as you say: our grief and hurt will probably turn into a dull ache. Some people have advised that we get another dog: as soon as possible, but I think it's going to take us a while to grieve fully for our little Sasha! He will always be in our hearts; But eventually: one day: we may get another dog. Anyway, thanks so much for your kind words and empathy and support, once again. Kindest Regards, Douglas

Has anyone been absolutely devastated and heartbroken, when their beloved pet has passed away?!! My wife and I had to have the Vet. put our little 15-year old dog to sleep (due to his numerous health issues) just over 2 months ago, and we are devastated; he was part of the family, and we still can't believe he's gone. ðŸ˜

Hi Carol, How are you? Well, with THE SPECKLED BAND, at least, I just found it to be a very interesting, and well-told story; all the way through; but then again: all the stories are good!! So as you say: it really is a matter of taste; and taste is something which is hard to rationalise or explain, I suppose!
-
Hi Hikari, Yes, THE BRUCE PARTINGTON PLANS was also a very good story; Yes, HOLMES and WATSON's arguments can be very funny indeed!!
-
Hi Hikari: Yes; wasn't he brilliant!
-
I'd have to say that my favourite "Case" is THE SPECKLED BAND!
-
Yes; I've just started watching all of the JEREMY BRETT as SHERLOCK HOLMES episodes (in chronological order of release date) again; and how wonderful they were!!
-
And thanks, Sheerluck!
-
Hi Herlock, Thanks so much for this Link; I've just finished reading the article now; it was very interesting! And I see what you mean; about the order of the stories!
-
Thanks so much, once again, Herlock; Yes, I might have a quick look at THE GREAT GAME, just out of curiosity! Kindest Regards, always, Douglas
