I love how Sherlock flirts with his eyes, if not his words and really doesn't care if his object of affection catches on....or not.

I'm not sure that that is true. He moonlights and has dealings with the like of the American CIA, he "Is the British Government" in some sense of that phrase....and he respects the Law and authority? Over his own? I have my doubts about that.

Yeah, I have been thinking the last couple of days that actually Mycroft does seem to be a sociopath in the truer sense of the word then Sherlock is. I do think that Sherlock has retreated behind that label in self defense. Sentiment not being an advantage and all of that.

Oh heck, I never had a problem with Magnussen being shot either. I just wish they had stuck closer to canon and had Mary or Lady Smallwood do it. But I do understand why they had Sherlock do it.....in canon he's the one who emptied out Milverton's vault and burn all his blackmail material. The bullet had that same effect. I hope Sherlock and Irene had a little more then just the meeting of the intellectual mind as well. I don't like a whole of blood and guts and gore if that is all the plot is hinged on. It makes for very boring and dull viewing.

I just read through the Maine State Tattoo regulations and found nothing prohibiting the area to be covered by the art. So either my resource was wrong, even though she got multiple tattoos, so should have known....but laws do change. I will have to ask one of the local tattoo artists about this.

And as Sarek was never happy with Spock's choice of career, neither is Mycroft happy with Sherlock's. Always telling him that they are more alike then Sherlock wants to admit and they should be working together, an idea that Sherlock fights tooth and nail.

A neat idea, but check with your states tattoo regulations. In Maine it is illegal for a tattooist to work on areas above the neck and below the wrists. So a finger tattoo would be a big nono here. But a cool alternative would have a design done in henna. That lasts for weeks and can be simply touched up when it starts to fade. Pain free and no risk of infection.

Maybe next year when I start drawing my retirement......if they are still available.

My money is on the former. No way is he acting like a psychopath.....at least on for my money.

Yes, that little chat about how Sherlock was now into making friends during the Game Operation scene. Very telling, I think.

We saw exactly in Season Three why he not a sociopath but why he has to clamp down so hard on his emotions for the "Works" sake. We even see it in "TRF"......Moriarty knew Sherlock wasn't a sociopath.....that he had a heart....and look where it got him on Bart's roof? Emotional blackmail because he had let people get close and he had formed emotional attachments. The same in "HLV". Sherlock Holmes always falls the hardest when he has let his heart out on his sleeve.

I find relationships so difficult because at the end of the day it seems like what your companion is saying is....gee.....your a nice girl and all and you know......if you just cleaned up better....or wore more trendy cloths......it all gets to feel so shallow. Just can't just go somewhere like a park bench at the sea shore and talk about....stuff. Real stuff. It fells like they are just bouning off the surface like they are skimming stones and they really don't want it to sink below the surface.

Absolutely right. I think a lot of people miss the subtle clues that Sherlock is not, and a lot of other people have been pointing this out as well. sociopath he tries so hard to be so that his heart does not overtake and overwhelm his head.

I think Moriarty will only show up as a type of "ghost in the machine" but, his death was only by word of mouth as far as John and the police go as some how Moriarty's body was not recovered as far as Anderson's theory goes and Mycroft's reaction was a bit....I don't know....suspicious? But I do believe that Moriarty is dead...at least I'm hoping so.

I just wish I knew if this is something I have actually seen....or what.

I really can't put Sherlock on down as evil. Manipulative yes and he did torture the cabbie as he lay dying. But if he had any training in black ops that's what happens to some people. The cabbie was also a murderer. But Sherlock has a modicum of compassion and care.
