Irene Adler's house (partly) for sale !

[Carol the Dabbler]

From Sherlockology:

A ground-floor flat at 44 Eaton Square, London, is for sale.  The asking price is £3.25m, or $5m (and yes, that's just for the two-bedroom flat).  This house was used as the exterior of Irene Adler's home in "A Scandal in Belgravia."  (Click on the link at the top for additional info.)

Note:  The interior of Irene's abode was filmed in Newport, Wales, in the same house that had previously been used for the Lauriston Gardens interior in "A Study in Pink."  Obviously, it was spruced up a bit between episodes!

Wow! Don't know if I would buy it even if I had that kind of money. Especially since it's only the outside shot. But it would be fun to own that kind of Sherlockiana.

We could all chip in and buy it, then fix it up to match what we saw on television and use it as the forum clubhouse!

[Bakerstreet Irregular]

Whoa! What a grand idea! With almost 7 hundred members if we all chipped in a several thousand a piece, it could be ours!

[Caya]

Hmm, a clubhouse styled to match Irene Adler's domicile is certainly a bold concept. Might raise some questions as to the nature of our forum though .

[Bakerstreet Irregular]

Then that would mean that the majority of us would have to move to England. Awww gee, and wouldn't that just break my heart....Not!

I'm sure I have no idea what you mean...

As for the house, it was also used in Doctor Who in Moffatt's Blink (the episode that introduced the Weeping Angels if you didn't remember), again obviously before that side of the house was done up.
