I'll have to agree to disagree with Toby that I think Mycroft enjoyed watching Sherlock being tortured.   :)   I still think that was a necessity so that he didn't blow his cover, which he needed to get them outta there.

I have the impression that Mycroft might not be physically strong, or have abilities to kick ass like Sherlock.

He used his brain and influence more.

In the torture room where the brothers met, I would think Mycroft might not be able to overcome the torturer easily, therefore he waited. Once he managed to free Sherlock, they would be able to get out.

Although each brother took credit of the escape, I think it's 50-50%.

But to me, it does prove how much and how far Mycroft is willing to do for Sherlock.

(He wouldn't even want to get his ass out to investigate some cases and rely on uncooperative Sherlock, for example Bruce-Partington plan and Irene Adler) He endured Sherlock parading in sheet at Buckingham Palace for that!  :D,

yet he went out of the way, undercover as deep as Sherlock

"Do you have any idea, Sherlock, going undercover, smuggling my way into a rank like that? The noise; the people."

I always love how Mycroft hates people.  :D

Mrs. Hudson is right, the brothers love and care each other in a very unusual way.
