Honestly could you think of a better way to spend a day?  This would just be heaven!

It WOULD be worth the cost of an airfare for me to the UK (and it's a LONG way away)

Oh you have to be a UK resident,  mmmm I'm married to a Englishman - think we might emigrate.

I love this line ... "The National Theatre promotes responsible gambling..." Isn't that an oxymoron? :)

We get that line here all the time. After a beer commercial we get" Drink Responsibly". When advertising a new scratch off lottery ticket it's. "Keep it fun play responsibly".

I was amused because the term "gambling" implies taking a risk! So does lottery, now that I think of it. A responsible risk, yeah, I got it. :D It's nice of them to be so concerned for us!

Well, I can do a pretty good British accent. Fooled a bunch of people at school today with it. :P So all I have to do is look less Asian and move to the UK.

Probably their concern is more like CYA;)

I see that you not only have to be British, you can't be from Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man.  Huh?  Oh, I see that the latter is "a self-governing possession of the Crown."  Not sure what that means, but obviously not quite the same category as England, Scotland, and Wales.  Still seems odd -- like saying you have to be a US citizen but you can't be from Puerto Rico or Guam.

I believe they have Asian peoples in the UK, you'll blend.

That would be a lovely prize. Maybe they didn't open it up to other countries upon witnessing Mardi Gras. Can't risk the Cumberbatch getting flashed.

What happens at Mardi Gras stays at Mardi Gras.... :P

What happened at Mardi Gras?

Being as this is a family-friendly forum, I will not suggest that anyone Google "mardi gras" flash.

Does that mean you just did? :D

Let's just say that Mardi Gras is not family friendly in New Orleans and I know of co-ed groups who have gone down there for purposes other than the revelry and the guys were not allowed to walk the streets without a ball cap on and a couple of women with them.

Uh ... ball cap?

????

Wait ... do I even want to know?

Posted

Trust me you don't.
