I couldn't find a logical place to put this, but it's kind of a fun read, so here it is ... staff members from the Sherlockology website reminiscing about the past five years. Includes links to lots of little stories and such that I'd either never read or forgotten about.

Interesting read.. I am jealous that they are fans since it was a 'small' show, it sounds like a very nice time. Of course I'm grateful at the same time because I can't imagine the hiatus.

I guess my selfish self always worry about the show getting too big and all the negative impacts.

Anyway, really love reading this:

Didn't you mention somewhere that Sue would object spending budget and effort for fake scenes? Gotcha..

(Still crossing my finger that

baby scenes

are fake.

Must be difficult to type with your fingers crossed. :p

Yeah, I know about that scene, but they were already in that spot filming, it's not like they dragged half the cast out JUST for the fake scene.

Is that Mycroft's pocket square on Jim's hand?!

Phew. I am still hoping that that particular scene will be used one day as a real happening in the series.

How do you know? :p But maybe you do. XD Well, I don't. Obviously. In my head they could be somewhere nearby filming inside a building for a Sherlock's scene, then Martin and Amanda arrived for their roles and Sue said,"Ben, don't change just yet. And Martin, here."(tossed someone's daughter's baby doll to him) and grabbed someone's dog. (It's family and pet day!) "Let's have an afternoon walk outside for a couple of minutes before we get back in." Wink wink.

I had too much tea.

No, no, I know about the Mycroft/Moriarty fake scene. I don't know anything about the dog in the market scene. Honest. Really, I don't. Not a thing.

The Barth's scene needed only Mark getting in his suit (needed anyway for a photo shooting they most probably did that day) and putting Andrew in Sherlock's coat. Still much less effort than getting the doll, the carrier, hiring a dog (there are surely a bunch of inconvenient rules about dogs on set) and trying to move the dog to cooperate, then using a human when the dog hadn't. They were using the extras too - I don't think the people on the market were just passers by - or fans. :P
