(I don't believe I've ever seen this movie, so I'm just going by the images posted here.)  Several people have commented on Dawson's resemblance to Martin Freeman's Watson in Sherlock.  To me, though, he bears a much stronger resemblance to Nigel Bruce's performance as Watson (in the Rathbone films) -- which has of course acted as a template for nearly every Watson since then, including Freeman's.
