Shoot the Wall (A.K.A. The Rant Thread)

I don't know how love can be a sin. In fact, I feel that gender's just a social contruct; there's no 'gay love' and 'straight love', there's just 'love'. -

I'm just kinda sitting here like... don't they remember that bit of the Bible... in Leviticus... "You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin... but you shall love your neighbour as you love yourself." I'm not religious, I'm just pointing something out. -

Is John's Friendship Making Sherlock a Better Man, Or...?
Bendydoodle Cantaloupe replied to Arcadia's topic in Characters
Well, technically speaking, "good and bad" does not exactly apply to anybody at all, as it's essentially a social contruct typically used to determine moral boundaries. But that's besides the point. My point is is that Sherlock, like everyone else, is very much a mixed bag. In different lights, different aspects of him are revealed. As Richard Siken oncce wrote: "In the wrong light anyone can look like a darkness." -

Well, at the start of Supernatural (that is, Season 1), it's not all violent. There're some instances of peril, but it isn't overly violent (probably because at that stage the budget was very small). Fair warning, though: as the show progresses it gets grittier and grittier, with more violence and gore, 'cause it expands its focus on supernatural creatures to include angels and demons as well. I think I can handle gore pretty well, it's just that if it's, say, an animal being mutilated (or even the suggestion of harm to an animal), I cringe. I cringe more at sudden bursts of violence (like a scene in which a guy was cut in half by an elevator shutting on him) than prolonged scenes of it. That's a bit of a bad thing, probably. *shrug*

Well, a lot have people have died inadvertently due to their murderer letting loose a lot of aggression on impulse -- that's why some people call for tighter gun control in the U.S., 'cause 1 out of 10 of citizens are prone to aggressive outbursts and have access to a gun.
