oh, no! care to share the details? thx

thread as proceeded quite a lot since my last visit, so I kind of lost track of the discussion.. but when it comes to the F word, I'm not shocked or anything, I can swear in my everyday life (try and restrain at work and in formal occasions). I'm not raveling into it like some do. of course it's better not to encourage small kids to do it, or even just use vulgar language in front of them. I try and be good, but I'm not shocked for inappropriate language when it comes as an expression of discomfort or rage, for ex. I am bored by those who like to dwell on it. don't know if I made myself clear. Scheiße there's to consider that often tumblr members are young; therefore swearing is seen as self affirmation, a way to be cool, sarcastic and careless. tumblr is also considered, in a way, more edgy and experimental than other social networks. that said, it's often boring to read and frankly ridiculous, all that F-this and F-that..

for some reason it reminded me the lyrics of Michael bublè's song "everything": "You're the line in the sand when I go too far".. Now you're singing my tune! I really didn't think of that scene as showing that Molly had become a stronger person. It was more that she was just so angered by and disappointed in Sherlock that she didn't think, she just reacted. Since that's the last "real life" interaction we saw her have with him, it will be interesting to see if it affects their future relationship. i agree: she's the typical good, patient, shy person who never gets angry, but when does it's like a momentary explosion.. as I said above, I don't think it's not in character and I didn't interpret it as an effort to make of molly something she's not, an "amazon". I do think though, just cause it's an isolated burst of emotions, repressed for too long, it doens't have to happen too often, or it'll get to be out of character.

Benedict Cumberbatch in "The Imitation Game"
avoca replied to Carol the Dabbler's topic in Cast & Crew
I'm keeping myself entertained watching broken news while waiting (long) for the imitation game release -
I met andrew scott (at Cock stage show) and mark gatiss ( at Coriolanus one), but I haven't got any picture with them

By the sea, you're not the only one thinking that. I totally feel the same birds of a feather..

exactly: I am always surprised of how "normal" are her tweets. love it. Molly: one of my fave Sherlock characters. Simple as that
-
agreed. and I hope they get soon a baby too, which is something else Benedict's always been very interested in.

thanks for the info about olivia appearing in sherlock. now that you make me think about it, her face looked familiar, but I hadn't realised it was her. and I didn't know about mark's husband. cute

Series 4 Rumors
avoca replied to biscuitbear's topic in Special and Series 4 Locations [Possible Spoilers]
yes, I agree with you. the more sherlock is letting the rest of the world in, the more his "family" is going to get bigger. I'd certainly love the series to go on for years, if they will still be at this level (I'd hate them to turn into something "dragged", like it's happened with so many other quality TV programs..). I cannot really explain why, but I cannot see Sherlock seasons to be going on for SO many years as mentioned in the radio times interview... it's just a feeling and I cannot actually give it a rational motivation, sorry -
still off the Elle Uk (here) article about his relationship with fans, already talked about in the Flair magazine interview (quoting Benedict): "When discussing fans who furtively try to take his photo, for example, you can hear his longing to embrace a robust approach. ‘People asking is nice. But when people just go [he imitates someone sneakily holding up a camera phone, dropping his jaw to the side], and they do generally do that mouth, [he does it again] then I’m guns-blazing. I cross-question them. They’re like: “What, what are you talking about? I haven’t taken your picture.” And I’m: “Then let me see your phone.” And they’re like, “No, I’m not showing you my phone,” and I’m [his voice rises in indignation], “Well don’t f*cking take a photograph of me then. Except he doesn’t actually say that last bit out loud. ‘No, not so much,’ he says ruefully. ‘But in my head, in my head… There are times when I’m completely fine with it, and other times I’m: “Actually I’m with someone you’re totally ignoring and standing on while trying to get a photo of me, and this is not the right time.” Then they walk away and I think: “God, am I an arsehole? Should I be accessible all the time?” But I think: “Not really.” sorrry for language: it's actually benedict's..
-
actually I think it's even worse: if he starts doing stage doors, he'll be chased home, or to the pub, or to wherever he wants to go and has a right to go after his performance, like they did with hiddleston. simply awful

at this link you find the rest oft he ELLE UK article: very good actually. http://www.elleuk.com/commercial/benedict-cumberbatch/ about sherlock's asexuality, I quote "And of course his sherlock abstains from sex, although Benedict does insist: He's asexual for a purpose, not because he doesn't have a sex drive, but because it's suppressed to do his work. cold showers, looking at a lot of dead bodies... that'll do it for you".

I think this interview with benedict pretty much answers many questions about sherlock (virginity, porn, sex and being a control freak) LOL (off Elle UK) http://www.elleuk.com/now-trending/benedict-cumberbatch-talks-sherlock-and-sex

yes, it is a pity indeed, but I totally understand him.

Series 4 Rumors
avoca replied to biscuitbear's topic in Special and Series 4 Locations [Possible Spoilers]
this is not actually a rumour, it's confirmed by imdb http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1475582/epcast?ref_=ttep_sa_1#year-2015 see screen cap andrew scott will be back hope not just in flashbacks ^_^ -
I love Marvel, but I have to admit I'm not very familiar with this character either. it surely has the potential to turn out an entertaining film, with a touch of fine acting, like Into darkness. I hope this is the case.

well, loki as the infamous 3rd sibling, is a quite lovely crazy series 4 rumour

Graham Norton Show - Oct. 24, 2014 with Benedict Cumberbatch
avoca replied to sfmpco's topic in The News Stand
that no comment is giving me hope.. I'd love to see Khan back. one of my fave benedict characters -
Am I the only person who actually does not think so? Nothing whatsoever against Tom Hiddlestone, but I neither want a third Holmes sibling, nor do I want another famous actor on the show. I want the attention fixed firmly and securely on Sherlock. Not to mention that with a famous actor it's always rubbed in my face that what I'm watching is not real. Don't worry, I'm not delusional. I think... On the other hand, I don't mind the idea of a third Holmes brother so much, as long as he is not on the side of the angels. I want the third sibling to be a complicated villain type. Someone who's not entirely evil. And I want Sherlock to beat him in a battle of minds, then put him away in prison, but with a somewhat heavy heart. ehm, as I posted a few days ago, I also think a 3rd sibling would not be "strictly necessary" to the plot, and that I hoped he'd not be some kind of sherlock identical twin or smt. IF he has to be inserted in the story, then I hope it'd be hiddles: I really like him and it'd be good, at least for me a villain brother would be best, I agree. comes to my mind the jaguar ad tom starred in (it's good to be bad): that sort of look, with raven hair, vintage elegant suit, would be just very holmes and yes, I agree tom'd steal the scene a little: both him and benedict are great actors, with great charisma. then it'd be up to moffat & gatiss to balance their importance and presence on screen with the script.
