  1. I couldn't get into La La Land either. It just didn't grab me like I thought would.
  2. I had a cat with hairball problems and bought hairball formula dry food to mix with the regular and it worked great. Both foods were dry so that may not work for your picky eaters, but there are options out there.
  3. We have heat advisories out here. The temperature has been in the 90-95F range for several days with high humidity. Very oppressive. Little or no rain.
  4. I've always used it as meaning unsure or off-balance.
  5. Of course I hope he wins but right now I'm just glad to see him nominated. If he had been overlooked there is obviously something wrong with the system since Benedict was absolutely amazing in that episode.
  6. Ben has been nominated for an Emmy for best actor in "The Lying Detective", which was nominated also. Hope this isn't a duplicate, didn't see anywhere.
  7. Maybe Sherlock feels some sort of attraction to her but thinking she is a man is confused and upset about it. So he is hostile toward her to cover his feelings.
  8. I drink Twinnings all the time but have never tried Fortnum and Mason' s. I'll have to check them out. Most of my favorites are black tea and blends, green tea isn't usually strong enough for me since I like my tea strong and sweet. And yes I, too, have been known to blow on my tea to cool it down.
  9. I love tea, both iced and hot, but have not seen Tension Tamer. What kind of flavor does it have Artemis? I get a lot of my tea from The Republic of Tea and Stash Tea, where I order on-line. I don't care for Earl Grey though but I like some flavored teas. I've got a Midnight BlackBerry from Stash, I think, that I love.
  10. I love old musicals. Anything with Fred Astaire. I just watched Judy Garland in Meet Me In St Louis, from the 40's. I really love just old movies from the 30's, 40's and 50's. Gone With the Wind is my favorite all-time movie and book. Clark Gable is a favorite. The Thin Man films with William Powell and Myrna Lot are great too.
  11. I originally bought Amazing Grace for Ioan Griffudd and was pleasantly surprised to find BC was in it too, along with Toby Jones. If anyone is a Ioan fan I highly recommend the Horatio Hornblower movies made in partnership with A & E in the late 90's and early 2000's. I believe there are 8 of them.
  12. The best thing about Temple of Doom was the relationship between Indy and Short Round, as for the rest the story was too dark and the girl was annoying.
  13. Arcadia I have a pay as you go smart phone thru tracfone. The phone itself was around $100 and I add minutes every 90 days to keep it active. I got a phone that triples the minutes you buy. Of course I don't use my phone for everything, mostly texting so it may not be practical for everyone. I can buy a 60 minutes refill and get 180 minutes on calls, text and data. The 60 minute card is usually $20.
  14. Wasn't it on James Corden's late night show?
  15. Is he done filming The Current War?
  16. I've probably said this before but my main problem with Mary was the way she was inserted into the "team". I resented her referring to Sherlock and John as Her boys and also giving them her permission to go out and be Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Isn't that who and what they were before she came along? They seemed to be doing just fine as a team without her input. I was also puzzled, after learning of her past, why she would have gotten involved with John in the first place. She knew of his ties to Sherlock and therefore to Mycroft also. Why run the risk of being exposed? I also don't believe that Sherlock was responsible for Mary's death. I know John needed to blame someone, but as far as I'm concerned, Mary's past killed her. If she hadn't been who she was and hadn't lied about and/or omitted her past to John she would never have been in the situation she found herself in. Yes, you can say that Sherlock goaded Mrs. Norbury, but Mary made the decision all on her own to jump in front of that bullet. Kimberly
  17. Thanks, Kimberly. So you don't actually pronounce it? Not really. Some people just use kimber.
  18. My screen name is just a variation on an e-mail account I have. Nothing exotic or creative. You can just call me Kimberly.
  19. When I saw The Force Awakens there was much cheering and clapping when Han and Chewie made their initial appearance on the Falcon. Also during the original Star Wars (yes I did see it long, long ago) I remember the audience responded enthusiastically when Han dramatically returned to clear the way for Luke to destroy the Death Star.
  20. Thanks. I didn't make the connection. Guess it's time to watch again.
  21. Okay I feel like I've missed something important. When/where is it said that Mary was cremated?
  22. I like the montage but not with Mary's narration. It comes across, to me, as very possessive, HER Baker Street Boys, like they need her permission to solve cases together. Hello, they were doing that long before she came into the picture and shouldn't need her or anyone else to tell them they can continue. I've had a problem with Mary's prominence in the last several episodes, even after she was dead. I feel she became too big a character from TSOT thru TLD, practically an equal with Sherlock. The show was suddenly not Holmes and Watson but Holmes, Watson and Watson. Maybe if someone else had done the final narration or if it had a different tone it wouldn't bother me so much. But to see long time characters like Molly and Lestrade barely used doesn't seem right.
  23. That's interesting, because I remember some of us, after S3, thought that Molly had gotten over her crush during Sherlock's post-Reichenbach absence, but that she well and truly fell in love with him during the wedding. Although maybe we were just projecting ourselves onto her. :D I like to think she's accepted she's never going to have him, that the best she can achieve with him is friendship. But since Tom didn't work out, and now this ... she's in limbo now, as far as I'm concerned. Which I don't like. I agree with this up to a point. I think Molly did have a crush on Sherlock in the first two seasons, at least up to the fall. He was handsome, dramatic and brilliant so why wouldn't she? But in TRF when he comes to her needing, wanting her help she sees a whole different side to him. She sees he has matured and sees the lengths he is willing to go to for his friends. I think that's when she realizes her feelings for him are much deeper and she's fallen in love with him. These feelings continue into season three even though she tried to move on with Tom. In TSOT she watched him intently as he played the violin and she was the only one who noticed when he left the reception. The depth of her feelings were shown again in her hurt and anger at his drug use in HLV. Which brings us to season four and TFP. I understand her reluctance to say ILY to Sherlock. He's practical about it and says if it's true then just say it. But she's come to terms with her feelings and with the fact that he doesn't feel the same so actually telling him she loves him finally puts it out there and she has to deal with the reality of it all over again. Plus now that he knows definitely how she feels just compounds her heartache, not to mention that she doesn't realize she has an audience. So in closing this long-winded post I believe there is a very real possibility of a relationship between these two, especially given Sherlock's more emotional repeat of ILY. He didn't have to say it twice, now did he? The big question, apart from when or if there will be another season, is if Moftiss will go there. I really don't think they will but I think they've laid the groundwork for it and could do it. Sorry for the long post. Goodnight. Kimberly
