  1. I got my first dose today, I'll let you know if I experience any adverse reactions. So far all I have is a very sore arm. I'm also feeling short of breath, but I suspect that's just anxiety.
  2. That is pretty cool, lol. Although, I'm not sure how I would feel about it personally. I'd be flattered but also a little embarrassed, I think. Depending on the dream, I guess. Some are more personal/emotional than others. We have a general "Dreams" thread, if you'd ever like to share your dreams! I've shared a couple of my "Sherlock" dreams here, but that was before I created the "Dreams" thread, so they're buried in other random threads. I haven't had one in quite awhile now.
  3. Ah, a fanfic based on my fanfic. The highest form of flattery for a fanfic author, lol.
  4. "WandaVision's Kat Dennings Wants Tom Hiddleston's Loki To Team Up With Darcy." "Do it for the Tumblr." I've been wanting to see this for years, I think it would be hilarious, lol. I hope they consider it.
  5. Me though, lol. [Link]
  6. I'm afraid I don't have any ideas for you at present. Hopefully somebody else will.
  7. Something else you could try: When you "Save Image As", change "Save as type" from "WebP Image" to "All Files", and then at the end of the "File name", change the ".webp" to ".jpg". I was able to successfully save your images that way.
  8. I don't suppose anyone else has been watching "WandaVision" on Disney+?
  9. Who criticized your English?? I will smack them upside the head with my English degree.
  10. "Did Bernie's inauguration outfit epitomize 'white privilege'? A San Francisco teacher thinks so." For heaven's sake. Do Bernie's mittens really need to be analyzed? He's just sitting there, guys. Literally just sitting there. In the cold. Can a man sit and be cold? Damn.
  11. Yeah, I think that is the reason. And on top of that, I didn't come here until after S4 had started airing. So I missed the heyday. I actually did stop by this forum sometime in 2012, when I first started watching the show. But at that time, the headline said something about this being a UK forum, which left me with the impression that it was solely for fans living in the UK. I thought I couldn't participate, so I passed it by. So very sad, I could have been subjecting you all to my unasked-for informative posts and random picture sprees all this time. (I should add that it wasn't entirely the headline's fault that I missed out. I could have investigated further, but I was disillusioned with the Sherlock fandom at the time, and thus disinclined to give anything fandom-related much of a chance.)
  12. Learning Photoshop doesn't sound easier to me, lol. And then there's still the main problem of me not being able to tell what colors look good on me.
  13. Don't worry, he doesn't have to do it for very long, lol. That's just a short bit in the first part of the story. But it could be a lesson for him.
  14. Thanks! That was the one story I actually did start writing out (in more than outline form), but I've never found any of those papers. They are probably lost to time. The outline is still pretty detailed, but it's a bummer to have lost the dialogue, because that would be the hardest part to rewrite (if I were ever inclined to do such a thing). Someday I should make a project of typing up what I have. I'll think about sharing it with you if I do, but fair warning: I am super shy about my writing and usually too embarrassed to share it, so no guarantees, lol.
  15. Oh you know he would, lol. People would be asking his help for the dumbest things, and he’d either slam the door in everyone’s faces, leave John to deal with it, or have his own version of “Have you tried turning it off and on again?” I was on a Sherlock Holmes kick for about a year when I was 11 or 12, and I actually started a fanfic around this idea; the only one I ever started, lol. It was about a woman, a fugitive from the law herself (though falsely accused, “Richard Brook” style; she had her own kind of Moriarty). Sherlock Holmes kept turning down cases that he considered boring or beneath his abilities, and she would anonymously solve them for people. Gradually he started reading in the paper about cases being solved before he even heard about them, cases he actually did want to work on. Business slowed down as people stopped coming to him, and it was driving him crazy. For the first time he found himself in the position of having to vie for business, which required being polite (i.e. not a smart-ass) in the face of idiocy, and other nasty peopley things that made him uncomfortable, lol. Eventually he determined to find out who was stealing his business. At the same time, he was approached by her Moriarty (a wealthy public figure, viewed by the public as a very good person), with the task of catching her; not knowing, yet, that the two mysteries were connected by the same person. And one thing leads to another. My username on this forum is actually an homage to that fanfic, lol. It’s the name of her character. (One of them, anyway.)
  16. “Lonely” by Justin Bieber. So I was putzing around YouTube yesterday, and I happened upon a reaction video to this song. I thought it might be funny, and in a way it was, but not the way I expected. This song is making everyone cry, lol. One thing led to another and I ended up watching a whole bunch more reaction videos, but guys: This music video is actually really well done. It’s a short little song that says so much about the cost of childhood fame, the loneliness that accompanies it, and our tendency to dehumanize celebrities, as experienced by Justin Bieber. The lyrics in the second verse especially were so impactful. (Could do without the swearing, but, what’re you gonna do.) The little yodel in the chorus reminds me of a wolf howling at the moon, lol. The song itself aside, the cinematic choices here were sort of brilliant. It’s all one shot, no cuts, which feels so much more immersive. And the symbolism! It’s dim, it’s empty, and the use of liminal space just feels lonely. It swallows him, he’s so small in it all. And the ending hits. “That’s deeeeep,” to quote the people in the reaction videos, lol. There are three things I really love about the ending. Well, two and a half things, lol. One is the symbolism behind an audience full of empty seats, and Justin himself being the only one there who can really see him. The other, which I didn’t notice at first (because my screen is small), is that they chose not to have the child actor mouth any of the lyrics until he got on stage. The only time he “spoke” was when he started to sing for his audience, but what we saw come out instead of the performance was his silent, unheard “I’m so lonely.” It’s like a reminder of what goes unseen beneath the surface; what “no one’s listening” to. People demand so much from entertainers and it’s easy to forget that they’re real people with real feelings and human mistakes. I just thought it was a neat way to make a statement, lol. For how short it is there’s actually so much to analyze in here. It’s personal and vulnerable and meaningful, and you should watch it. That’s my review, lol.
  17. Even if it were “rarely used” (which is definitely not true), is that really good cause to remove the option? More options is good. Removing features is not helpful to the user experience and rarely the solution to a problem. You do want to keep your design clean, but in most cases the removal of a feature does not accomplish that goal and is done for another (sometimes more nefarious) reason entirely.
  18. The answer is clear.
  19. I recorded a movie on TV called "Unstoppable", which basically looks to be a remake of "Speed", but on a train. I still haven't watched it yet, but every time I see it on my list, I get "Unstoppable" by Sia stuck in my head. ...I need to watch it soon so I can erase it.
  20. Could be! It’s weird that it’s been that long, ‘cause I actually still feel like a bit of a newbie here, lol.
  21. Here, have a relaxing "Sherlock" ambience video.
