  1. Maybe a bit of clarification is in order. The 4th of July is simply the date we celebrate ... Independence Day!
  2. My ex-husband used to be general manager for a Holiday Inn, and they had a rule about it - over the top. Now I'm obsessive about it. Anywhere I go if it's not over the top, I change it (except in someone else's house, that is).
  3. Thanks, I'll make a note of that.
  4. Totally agree with this! (I mean in still photographs.)
  5. My vote goes to Brett.
  6. No stoning here, I totally agree. The first two series' were phenomenal. Then Brett's health began to fail, and so did the writing. The 'adaptations' weren't as faithful either. Oh well.
  7. Yes, the good old days.
  8. I've never been sure about it. Now I know. Thanks!
  9. Here, here. Or is it hear, hear? I love living alone. But I'm certainly not without friends and family.
  10. The Child in Time is on tonight on PBS at 9:30.
  11. If that's right, somebody else go next.
  12. Now I'm definitely in need of some Jeremy tonight. I think Sign of Four will do the trick.
  13. Yep, I've had people zip in front of me and then wave thank you as if I had 'let' them in. Yeah, right. Not much gets to me, but that does.
  14. My favorite is 'purified' bottled water. Next to that is 'spring.' Don't like tap at all. 😝 Just thought I'd jump in with my opinion. Since we're, you know, sharing.
  15. I don't remember it either. Thanks!
  16. Well, it happened when I was sleeping, in bed, overnight, and when I woke up in the morning I remembered it as a dream. Carol, can you tell me about your experience?
  17. Oh, you'll love this one I had almost a year ago. I truly believe that God gave me this dream visit from my Toby. I felt him walk from the foot of the bed up to the top and sit there and look at me. (In the dream) I opened my eyes to look at him and he disappeared. Reasoning that if I closed my eyes he would come back, I closed my eyes, and he did come back. But this time I opened just one eye, and he didn't disappear, and I got to touch him and pet him and we played for awhile. He rolled over, I scratched his belly, it was just wonderful. It was the most tactile, realistic dream I've ever had. I'll never forget this beautiful gift from God.
  18. That last dream sounds great. I bet you loved it! I would have! I'm new here. Can I share a dream? First, I lost my beloved 13 year-old dog Toby in 2010 (brain tumor). I dream about him often, and last night in my dream I heard him bound into my bedroom and put his front paws up on the bed near me and I felt his breath. Of course I woke up and looked for him. That sort of thing has happened so many times before, when I heard him or just sort of felt his presence. I still miss him dearly.
  19. I'm watching an episode of The Love Boat right now from 1984, Season 7, Episode 21, with an adorable Jeremy Brett playing Ace's valet.
  20. Cleaned up, you say? Then this is the collection for you! It is an incredible treasure!
