  1. I think they had to find a way to kill Tasha because Denise Crosby wanted out. Bad move for her. Glad they found a way to bring her back, in a way.
  2. Sorry, but not really -- that's the way it always looks nowadays. In answer to J.P.'s question on that twitter page, they used to swap out the entire door, but that got tiresome, so they arranged with the building's owner to leave the Sherlock door in place all the time. So now all they need to do is swap the house number (which they do on the neighboring doors as well), and they don't do that till the very day of the shoot, since it confuses delivery people. (See my eyewitness report on the North Gower filming for "Sign of Three.") It does look like "17" doesn't it? But it's actually #187. The "8" just doesn't show up as well as the other two digits. Took another look, and I see it now. Oh well.
  3. I never realized it was #17. Did you know there are 17 steps up to #221 in ACD's canon?
  4. Meat Dagger is a much better name than Tom.
  5. I really miss Rupert's lovely British accent. I had no problem following the story either, but I'm not sold on it yet. I'll watch again Sunday and I'll probably keep watching for a few episodes at least and see if I stay interested. The only other character that intrigued me was the wrongly imprisoned man (can't remember his name) played by Andrew McCarthy. So for right now, Rupert Graves and Andrew McCarthy are the only two reasons to watch, as far as I'm concerned.
  6. Have any of you seen 'The Family'? What did you think?
  7. Like the wall.
  8. Anytime we're ready to be done with Zoolander, I'm on board ...
  9. I like a mini-series he did about a decade ago, 'To the Ends of the Earth.' Saw it on Netflix and liked it so much I bought it on Amazon.
  10. Well ... it IS elaborate fan fiction! But I get their point. It just fails to bother me. ;) Exactly! :D Doesn't bother me either - well, much. I admit I miss "the old days," but I'm still enjoying Sherlock immensely, and for me, that's what it's all about.
  11. I think that article had a real point when it said: Gone are the days when Sherlock was a grounded series about a man who sometimes seemed to be able to make supernatural deductions but which always had a logical explanation. Now he seems to be some sort of supreme being – it is almost a science-fiction series. This is the trouble with the success of the show – it is now being run as though it is elaborate Fan Fiction. As for Arcadia's question about Holmes jumping into the Falls, all I know for sure is that was how he supposedly was going to "wake up." Otherwise, I don't know either. He was really smiling broadly during that jump! What does that mean?
  12. I thought it was from Mary herself. After all, she was waiting for them at the church, wasn't she?
  13. I've spotted the V.R. on the wall - or at least the 'R.' At 8.44 in just after Dr. Watson offers 'guest' a chair. The wallpaper where the 'V' should be seems scorched.
  14. The first time I watched it, through the first hour I just had the feeling there was something wrong, like there must be more of a reason for all this. Then around the one hour mark when we were back on the plane, I felt like I "woke up" and "aha!" and it was a whole new ballgame! The second viewing was much, much better, because of course it all made more sense. My DVD is on the way and I can't wait to watch it with subtitles to make sure I get every word. Did anyone catch the V.R. on the wall? I haven't seen it.
  15. Finally voted. Could someone please fix the misspelled word in "4/10 Decidedly blow average" ?
  16. I think a couple of new "TAB" threads have already been started, and I have one in mind myself as soon as I get to see the Special a few more times ... so as far as I'm concerned, go for it. Just make sure "SPOILER" is in the title to warn off any unsuspecting visitors. Where are those threads, Arcadia?
  17. I've only seen it once so far, but at the beginning after "Alternately ...", didn't the time scroll back to 1880 something (the scroll didn't stop) ?
  18. A piece of trivia that occurred to me just now - did you know that Rathbone was actually older than Bruce?
  19. Why was Mary wearing all black in her first scene? Was she in mourning? That didn't look like an appropriate outfit to me for the time (or even now, all black like that) unless she was. Thoughts, anyone?
  20. That's exactly my take on it as well, Carol. I like this view, but it wasn't in the filmed episode.
  21. Oh, I see it now! Way, way, way at the top! Thanks!
  22. Under 'Profile,' I see My Content, but I don't have New Content. I've never relied on them anyway. I rely on the 'Follow' email notifications, which seem to be back, yay!
  23. Tim says he "tweaked some settings on the server." Well, I'm certainly very happy he did!
