I agree. And you all know how I love the demise of Magnussen, well I finally got around to watching Startreck into Darkness?? Uhm, several of you are big fans of that movie. Kahn crushes the skull of that man, is that better that shooting someone?? -
Interesting... I don't use those type of devises. I do have an old, cheap DVD player. I use Netflix... Hay by the way all, get rid of cable and get Chromecast, well worth it. Anywhere you go you can cast NEtflix, Hulu, Youtube, Crackle...ect from your phone or laptop. SO COOL!!!! You have to make sure you purchase the one that works on your Continent however. Even now I'm casting this forum from my laptop onto my flat screen. LOVE IT!! just have to have WiFi access.

I think that that article was published to freak fans out. The Sherlock team would not do that to us. People just are wondering how the cast will be able to pull it off with all of their busy schedules.

Series 4 Rumors
jesskayding replied to biscuitbear's topic in Special and Series 4 Locations [Possible Spoilers]
I just hate what Molly's character does to Sherlock. Their friendship is an unnecessary distraction. I'm quite fulfilled with just John & Sherlock. Lestrade doesn't soften Sherlock & I appreciate that. I love girly flicks, but I don't want Sherlock to be one. -
Series 4 Rumors
jesskayding replied to biscuitbear's topic in Special and Series 4 Locations [Possible Spoilers]
Don't I remember reading similar things about series 3? And yeah, Sherlock even died in that - for like three seconds, before he came back to life. Besides "hinted that death is likely to happen" is not the same as "he said someone dies". And yeah, I did not expect Mary to shoot Sherlock, but I did expect her to have a secret and to be blackmailed by Magnussen - Moffat's definition of "unexpected" has never been terribly accurate, at least not where I am concerned. Of course the possible "major character death" that comes first to my mind would be Mary, because that's (presumably) part of her original story. I just still think that's too predictable, though. I mean, they couldn't kill Mary and then claim "gosh, you really didn't see that coming, did you". I just wish series 4 was here. Now. Right now. But only if it's good - and I mean season 1 good. (All this grump is just me trying to tell myself that I will not get worked up about rumors, I will not get worked up...) Earlier in the article, rumor is Mary's character will most likely live on. -
Series 4 Rumors
jesskayding replied to biscuitbear's topic in Special and Series 4 Locations [Possible Spoilers]
Taking from a recent BBC article: According to Moffat, many things that viewers do not expect to happen will be happening in season 4. The season is supposed to be a darker one and plans for the season are all top-secret. Moffat also said that the newest season will be devastating and hinted that death is likely to happen to a major character in the series. Please let it be Molly. PLEASE PLEASE, pleeeeeeeeaaase. -

I have to post something to see the last post.

Did you forget an N for the last word? If not, then Y please.

My posts aren't updating... Weird.

No, I disagree. A man as particular as the Sherlock written by the Motfiss'... That's a 10, he's leaving the flat, probably the worst & rudest patron ever.

Hey, girl, where have you been! We don't hear from you enough lately. I know; I've been MIA, haven't I? I suppose I needed a break from Sherlock. First break since I got hooked, though - but I can't promise it will be the last. However, I just rewatched His Last Vow and for the first time really felt good about it, so I just had to check this thread again. Glad I did, but it sure is difficult to catch up with everyone's theories, particularly those about Mycroft's potential involvement in Sherlock's plans to frame Magnussen. It's really interesting, and a bit spooky - I mean, those words, "Maybe there was something in the punch," can suddenly take on a different meaning. I always thought it was a funny and brilliant line, since there was actually something in the punch, and Mycroft said those words without knowing it. But if he did know it, the line - and the scene - becomes darker. Yayyy! Someone else has made it to the dark side! Mwa ha ha ha ha ha!!!

I love that line. To me, it's not just the vulnerability; its the beginning of the arc that we see culminate (thus far) by the end of S3. We establish in S1 that Sherlock lives by his wits and intellect, and then we start making cracks in that facade. This is the first one; he sees a family in distress because of a lost loved one, and for the first time he realizes that it may not be a deficiency. It may be a positive norm. And then, of course, by the end of S3, he is willing to die for his own family (Mary and John being the innermost circle of that). And he was willing to die for Ms. Adler as well.

Absolutely agree. John is physically flustered by The Woman. Sherlock is mentally and intellectually flustered. They're both responding to her in ways they never respond to each other. (In Sherlock's case, he even does a quick controlled experiment, looking at John to see if his deductive ability is still there when viewing someone under "normal" conditions, then back to Irene to discover he can't read her because she's disoriented him.) Doesn't Martin Freeman do a fabulous job in that scene? His eyes just dart from breasts to nether regions back up to eyes a couple of times, like he knows where he wants to look but doesn't want to get caught. This is why I've never understood the whole Johnlock thing. Bromance sure, but Johnlock... no. Right.
