  1. Wow! I can't believe it's been a year. Am I too late for the party? Here's a toast to Carol, Undead Medic, aely, and Banshee. Cause THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE DO!
  2. All right. Well, the day has finally arrived. I've proposed to Miss Adler who has accepted in her own way... Well, when I say proposed... NEVER THE LESS. Mycroft, you must do the ceremony otherwise I will tell someone higher than you that you've been having an affair with Lestrade. And Alice, PLEASE try not to make a spectacle of things. I intend on this marriage being successful. And John... Would you? ... Be the best man? Because... You are. There's no one better than you in the entire universe. I prefer you over anyone else. And besides, I believe she said she was bringing a friend you might be interested in meeting. Mary Morstan, I believe her name was. I can give you a photo of her if you like. There you are.
  3. And there's always the one I wrote for John, even though it's not famous... If I told you I was sorry… If I told you I was sorry, would you believe me? Even though you’re my friend, I don’t think you would. If I told you I was sorry, you wouldn’t even listen. You’d just block it out because you think I wouldn’t mean it. If I told you I was sorry, would you tell me that I’m lying? That I’m making it up just to get you to come back? If I told you I was sorry, there’s no way you’d think I’m serious. It just can’t come in your mind that I am telling the truth. If I told you I was sorry, you’d just keep on walking. Trying to get away because you’d think it isn’t true. If I told you I was sorry, you would never forgive me. Of everything I‘ve done this is the thing that is the worst. If I told you I was sorry, you’d say “Oh, that’s funny.” You cannot even fathom that I really am. If I told you I was sorry, you’d run off and leave me. Never come back because you don’t know how much I need you. If I told you I was sorry, you wouldn’t know how sorry. There are not enough words in the dictionary to tell you the true amount. If I told you I was sorry, I would fail for words. No words can ever convey the full truth of what I want to say. If I told you I was sorry, here‘s what you‘d think. After he says it and I forgive him, he’ll just drop it. It means nothing. I would tell you that I’m sorry, but you’ll see that I just can’t. If I told you I was sorry, then I’d lose my only friend.
  4. I think your English is rather excellent as far as I can see. And welcome. Hope to see more of you soon.
  5. Ah, glad to see people who agree with me. And now, here are two more rants. This first one is for you, John. When your best friend's rant is that you're an egomaniac. And the second is a more personal rant. I may be in danger of getting another cold. Had one in December or so and now here I am in February with my nose stuffed up, my temperature not staying constant which probably isn't a good sign, my neck and chest area; head; and back feeling like they're burning while the rest of me is getting cold, my voice not sounding normal, and I probably look awful too. Arrggh. I'm hardly EVER ACTUALLY sick, one cold was quite surprising. But the possibilty of TWO??? John, stay away from me. I don't want to get you sick. I know you're a doctor and it's your job but please. I'd rather be sick than have you sick. What would I do then, if my doctor was sick? I mean- IGNORE THAT! Damn it!
  6. Ooh, that one would make me rather mad as well. Found a rant on Facebook that I must agree with. People who pretend to be other people on sites like Facebook and Twitter. Not here or other forums or various places like such, it's okay to do that. But if you're looking for REAL people on Twitter/Facebook, you have to constantly sort through all these pretenders. I mean, yes, it's a free internet space, but come on. Really. You might like that person, but you don't have to pretend to be them to prove it. It makes me quite angry.
  7. Anyone seen Endeavour? It's the prequel to the Inspector Morse series, although it came out recently. It was rather good, I'd seen a few of the Morses and thought it did a good job of not only showing what he was like before all of that, but adding the characteristics we're familiar with in Morse. There was one specific part where most of you who have emotional tendencies may be inclined to have them there. Shaun Evans plays Detective Constable Endeavour Morse in this, Roger Allam plays Detective Inspector Fred Thursday, Danny Webb plays Detective Sergeant Arthur Lott (who has a connection which my aquaintance is working on putting up. Speaking of my aquaintance, does anyone know the episode of Marple titled Murder is Easy; not the novel as it differs; with Julia Mackenzie as Miss Marple? She needs some assistance and it would help a great deal if anyone could give specifics on that.), and a lot of other people. Including John Thaw's daughter, Abigail Thaw. If you haven't seen Endeavour and you like Inspector Morse, I would actually recommend seeing it. It explains a lot of things that were left in the dark in Morse, and still leaves a little mystery to be solved.
  8. *laughs* I believe I know. It's because you know you don't have to apologize. You're behaving, all right. And exactly the way you're supposed to in accordance to a man who was a complete git. You correct me all you like, it's your turn now. I've done enough. For now. Can't make any promises, though. But seriously, John. I was a git. Every insult you could hurl at me, I was that and I did that. And I am more sorry than you can ever imagine. Seriously, read my posts and my profile feed, I mention it several times. I'm glad you responded, though. I was surprised that you did, I about had a heart attack when I saw you had. As you know, that's quite an accomplishment for me.
  9. Ignoring the temptation to correct others' grammer and spelling... See, John? Again, I'm being considerate of others. And you're missing it. Again.
  10. Oh, sure. Respond when women are complimenting you, and NOT when your friend is actually complimenting you, apologizing, and asking for forgiveness. Really, John. It's incorrigible.
  11. But when the woman who was "just sharing" a flat with Alex Woodbridge in The Great Game, she says of Alex "He was, er... Never much of a one for hoovering." Does she in fact, mean to refer to the usual term or a different sense of the word? I'll have to think about that. Return to this place in seven and a half million years. I'm being facetious, of course. I would think she meant it in a different sense, but I don't want to jump to conclusions so I'm leaving the possibility of the normal sense having been meant. Also domestic, here when Mrs. Hudson says "Have you two had a little domestic?", means a fight. She could have said row, but row is a looser term and Mrs. Hudson wouldn't be likely to say that. Someone had thought it meant something...else and was summarily corrected on that subject. A chip and PIN machine is another term for a self checkout machine. Yes, I know a Lilo is an air mattress. I was merely simplifying it to something others could relate to. Note, I also said EQUIVALENT, not it IS a water bed. Oh, a memory stick is a flash drive. I don't know what else. My brain has not been properly functioning for the past few days. I suspect it's due to the fact of John Watson's return. If not that, as to what may be the true cause, I've absolutely no idea.
  12. Je ne comprends pas. Il n'y a pas des sots si incommodes que ceux qui ont l'espirit! Mais un sot trouve toujours un plus sot qui l’admire. Alors, c'est la vie. Tu voudrais apprendre francais? Je peux t'aider, si tu aimes. A bientot.
  13. Oh, I know. "Lilo" is basically the British equivalent of a water bed. Let's see... We all know The Tube and telly, so I won't bother mentioning those. Biscuits aren't biscuits, they're little cookies. And that actually seems to be the case in several places, not just England. Anything else? Any other things you want translated or to know what they mean?
  14. Your location was The Tardis, so I was going to go for that you managed to go back in the time stream and either steal it when he didn't notice; found it lying around and decided to take it with you, though that's extremely unlikely considering he always pays attention to his clothing. He's never just leave his jumper lying around. Or somehow or other you managed to actually meet him and a. he gave it to you for safekeeping, though I don't see why he couldn't have just given it to me. I'd keep it safe for him. b. there was a rather peculiar situation involving "aliens" and the like in which you somehow ended up having his sweater. He "died" or somebody else took it and you got it back. He could have been abducted. There's even the slightest possibility that he ended up on The Tardis in several instances. Maybe The Doctor or you or whoever liked him so much, you decided to take him with you. Maybe there was a situation where you had to bring him onto The Tardis. Or...and I really hope this isn't true, he asked to go with you. I'd be rather...upset if that were true. It doesn't matter why, don't ask. Maybe THAT's where he's been all this time, on The Tardis out in time and space... Or, and I hope for your sake this isn't what happened, you kidnapped him. But now that your location isn't there, that's much harder to deduct. You have an enormous field of options. Ughh.
  15. Schade dass die Natur nur einen Mensch aus dir schuf, Denn zum würdigen Mann war und zum Schelmen der Stoff, eh Otterly? And further more, Wir sind gewohnt dass die Menschen verhöhnen was sie nicht verstehen. I think we especially agree with the second one. I know I do. So, what do you think? Shall either of us translate those for them? Or shall we leave it an enigma? I mean, I know I was the one who put them up so it would be the natural thing for me to give the translations. But I've never been inclined to the natural thing. I thought you, though, might like to translate both since it is your natural dialect. See, John, I'm being considerate. Oh, this is rather interesting and still pertains to the subject! In Doctor Who with the 11th Doctor, most of you may or may not know that there's a companion named Rory Williams; husband of Amelia/Amy Pond. 'Rory' is actually Cockney slang for door. So she's The Pond and he's The Door. Also as a point of interest, Benedict Cumberbatch played a character named Rory. In Forty-Something, those of you that know that. Let's see...Petrol is British for gasoline, jumper means sweater, braces means SUSPENDERS (There, I fixed it. Happy?) , 'get off' in the instance John Watson uses it means start a relationship. Sometimes it also means start a SEXUAL relationship. He and Sarah DID have a conversation about the bed...Hmm... I'll have to think about anything else.
  16. You see, Otterlysherlocked, James Moriarty was so intent on destroying me/Sherlock that he would have even killed himself in order to do it. Which he did. He was a bit insane, even for a criminal mastermind. No, it's actually quite good. Congratulations. And I'll try not to be too hard on your mistakes either. You're probably easier to understand than I am.
  17. Yes, hello. I would ask you what you think you're doing with John Watson's jumper and he's my friend, but I'm taking to being more... considerate. So welcome, it's nice to meet you. And remember, you are who you are. You don't need an introduction. People will come to know you without it, if they don't already.
  18. There's a Q & A on Fanpop about this very subject. Some of the theories are actually well thought out, some people ACTUALLY calculated stuff. The most interesting theory, in my opinion, is the Tessellecta theory. This goes with what people said about The Doctor being in on it. Note, if I spelled Tessellecta wrong, deal with it. I can't be The Grammar Police all the time. Here's the link. http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/sherlock/answers/show/341508/does-anyone-know-how-sherlock-survived And also about the lyrics. "If I've got you, I don't need a parachute." Yes. Obviously, I don't need one because I just simply jump off. That's it. That's how I really survived. In literal terms, I survived because I would still have John. He'd still be there. And I am not entirely sure anyone's thought about this, but what if Jim didn't write those other I.O.U.'s? We know he did the first one, we saw it. But not the other two. He said "I.O.U." as in, I owe you a fall; I owe you your death; dull. But most of you forget that Irene Adler actually owed me/Sherlock because he/I saved her life. What if she returned the favor? I can't honestly believe that she had nothing to do with all of that. And you must pay attention to the way in which the I.O.U.'s were left. One was carved into an apple with a pocket knife (I'm surmising), two was SPRAY-PAINTED onto a window, and three was graffitied onto a wall. Now. A Study In Pink, the message R-A-C-H-E was engraved/scratched onto the floor and there was an engraving on John's phone. The Blind Banker, the Black Lotus left their threats with spray paint in certain places; on certain objects. And Raz was an artist, graffiti artist. Raz is on Sherlock's/my side. Remember when Moriarty said he had a huge client list and he said "terror cells". If you'll remember, Irene was captured and put in a terrorist cell in Karachi. We know that I/Sherlock rescued her from there, but what if Jim also had a hand in that matter? He paid her for her information, she's extremely resourceful and an excellent dominatrix. Do you honestly think he'd sit there and let her be executed? So he helped, she went through the client list, remembering her debt to me/Sherlock gets certain ones to do what she wants. Let me/Sherlock know that she's going to be there. Note, I'm spacing my posts out now so they're easier to read. As someone had minorly complained. But there you are. Another note, I know what actually happened as it was me who faked my own death. But I'm letting you have your theories and showing you things you could examine and think of. As none of you are going to know the truth of the matter until the series returns. So, for now. It's just a magic trick. Houdini...Think of that. Ooh, that's rather good.
  19. Yes, hello and welcome, I suppose. Your English is actually rather good, I applaud you. And I must be sorry to say that most corrections of your grammar and spelling will come from me. Just fair warning. The only thing wrong so far is you forgot to put a space between "I" and "think", other than that it is excellent. I'll be more...considerate when it comes to my corrections, though I'm sure I won't have much to correct.
  20. John? John Watson? Is that really you? Oh. My. God. (passes out) (turning over in his state, still unconcious, things spinning through his head) We've missed you? What--what about me? I missed you the most out of everyone... I---missed you more than you can ever fathom.
  21. Speaking of turning up, John Watson, WHERE ON EARTH HAVE YOU BEEN??? Do you KNOW how worried I was about you? Do you know how long I've been sitting here wondering where you were? I waited and worried and spent every day here without you. It's been so unutterably boring ever since you left. I've mostly been talking to myself to whole time. John, the truth is I missed having you be there. Honestly. I think I even said it in Doing The Math, if you'd like me to prove it. It would mean the world to me if you forgave me. I promise, no more jumping off 70-foot hospital medical college buildings. No more faking my own death. I apologize with all there is of me. Please. Forgive me. I've never given up on you, never. Because there will never be another John Watson for me. I always kept hope, even though I thought I had lost you forever. But here you are. So, please. I won't try to coax it over with something like paying for dinner out of my own wallet this time or buying the milk or whatever.
  22. I don't, I am Sherlock. But I think I'm done for a while. My brain was really starting to hurt. I thought I was going to lose it for a minute. I'm just going to relax and play the violin. Suppose if I've nothing better to do then, I will have with you, Miss Adler. I just really wish sometimes that I could have done anything OTHER than jump off a 70-foot hospital/medical college. I... I miss John. Anyone else notice that I've been using the emoticons more recently?
  23. NOOOOOO!!! DRAT! I'm wrong AGAIN!!! HOW MANY STUPID TIMES...Damn it! It's all John's fault. He doesn't specify and his time schedule is completely incoherent! Ignore EVERYTHING I ever said. Except for the original math, the order of dates, and when I said I/Sherlock 'died' in 2012. I was right on that score. You see, the order of dates of John's posts were right but the YEAR was wrong. I examined John's posts more closely and guess what I found? The post on December 31st, "Happy New Year" I believe it's entitled. RIGHT at the beginning, John says "Before we go into 2012.". So, then my/Sherlock's 'death' DID occur in that year. I realized Carol, that when you said it was first available in January of this year that the timing of my/Sherlock's 'death' did still work out. And then of course this means that John and I/Sherlock met in 2011, also then I/Sherlock was 30. Meaning then that I/Sherlock was born in 1981 and I/Sherlock 'died' at 31. And that I/Sherlock was only eight years old in 1989, when I/he first got involved with a case. The year of the Baskerville experiments, 1986, I/he would have been five. This is just me thinking here, but Irene inserts the numbers 1058 in the fake phone and I/he say/says "Thought you'd choose something more specific, but thanks." We find out the importance of 1895, but we never find out the importance of 1058. Now, does anyone other than me think that's something to do with his/my birthday? Think about it. 10/5/8 or 1/05/8. It's highly unlikely that it could be 05/81 because that really changes the true order of the numbers and I think it's made clear they're meant to stay in that order AND although it would give us the month of birth, it still wouldn't fix a real date. That gives us several options. October 5th of 1981 being the first, the first of...May...1981 the second option. 8 here would represent the year of birth. What is rather depressing here is, if the date is really May 1st; 1981, then I/Sherlock would have died 4 days after my/his birthday. But that's what we don't know. That's one thing I'd really like to ask, it'd stop this wild goose chase I've been running. It's been literally killing my brain. But this is the final time and I'm REALLY RIGHT. Finally. Good night, Vienna.
  24. No, no you aren't. I, of all people, have been DRINKING. And I actually do have the number handy...I don't know if he's changed it though. He might have and I don't know what his current number is, sorry. He does have a blog, you know, but his last post was in June...so...I don't quite know...I'll see if the number's changed...
  25. Oh, and sorry about your throat, EvigMidnat. I know a doctor who could look into that for you. Dr. John Hamish Watson. He's the best doctor there is. And I will argue that until...the end of time and space. But whatever you do, DON'T tell him I recommended him or mentioned him or sent you to him. DO NOT mention me AT ALL, in fact. And I'll only have the cookies if Mrs. Hudson's made them. Not sure about the eggnog... Might have had a bit too much as it were...
