We can add that to a top 10 ways to mispronounce Martin's name. :)

Absolutely -- along with Marvin Friedman (his other New York Jewish cousin).

I just bought the first 2 seasons of The Office + the special, Nativity, and Hitchhiker's Guide... and that plus the Sherlock and Hobbit that I already have might round me out for Martin.  Somewhere I might have Love Actually.

Apparently The Taliban Shuffle (or whatever the movie will end up being called) is currently filming in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  A nameless source reports seeing Martin Freeman in the local Whole Foods, and this article says the project will be there till early April.

Looking it up on IMDb it looks like it is going to be called Fun House.  The description talks about a journalist recounting her wartime coverage in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Thanks, CAMPer -- I hadn't tried looking there for a while, but yes, the movie does seem to be called Fun House, at least for the moment.  Doesn't quite sound appropriate, so I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be just a working title -- but then again maybe it's from a line of dialog, so we won't understand why it's called that until we see the movie.

The Eichmann Show DVD is finally available for pre-order (Region 2 DVD), with release set for April 13th.  If you don't care to wait or don't have a Region 2 (or region-free) DVD player, it's also available right now for download or streaming (which will presumably work even in other regions, since there's no physical medium involved).

Wish it were available through ITunes but not yet.

The New York Deli in Santa Fe reports that Martin Freeman was a recent customer.

(Yeah, I know, pretty slim news.  Makes one yearn for the glory days of #Setlock!)

On a brighter note, I've recently acquired a few of Martin's works on DVD and now need to watch them.

Well, it's been Taliban Shuffle, then Fun House -- I'm beginning to hope that they change the movie's title again, this time to something just a tad more distinctive (for Googling purposes).

At any rate, according to this article in the Albuquerque Journal, part of the filming is taking place at the local Scottish Rite Temple (presumably doubling for some building in the Middle East):

If you're in the Albuquerque area and have a current military ID, you could be an extra in Fun House.  :D

Unfortunately, that's zero out of two for me!

I'm afraid that building doesn't look remotely Middle Eastern to me, but I guess if they just show snippets of it .... ?

The building has more of the Euro-Middle Eastern design (at least in the windows and door frames) that might come across as (or be from) Moorish or Turkish.

Actually, it strikes me as sort of Southwestern Meets Middle-Eastern -- Arabic Adobe, if you will.  But the shape of the main doorway was clearly inspired by Middle-Eastern architecture, so maybe they'll do some tight shots of that area and CGI the rest.  Or they may be using mostly the interior, and who knows what that looks like.

I have just seen Martin's NATIVITY film and enjoyed it very much.  Got a cheap copy (around $5 with shipping) off of Ebay.  Enjoy your hunt for it!

I enjoyed that movie.  I saw it on cable shortly before this past Christmas.

I especially like the part where's he's coaching the kids, and singing / dancing along with them.  (Would love to see Martin Freeman in an actual romantic musical comedy.)

Not news, exactly, but I'm watching Shaun of the Dead and Martin Freeman just walked by. Not a zombie. Yet.

He doesn't tend to fare well in that series, does he?

Hm. According to Imdb it's the only scene he's in. Bummer. Well, he was still alive when last we saw him....

Wait ... it's a series?

My understanding that Shaun of the Dead is just a movie not a series.
