Anyway, your image doesn't load on my phone, and I don't have any other gadgets for at least two days, and I'll be stuck in situation that has forced social meet-up again. GAHHHHHH

I feel for you, kid. :patpatpat:

Are they trying to mate or arguing?

Who, the squirrels or VBS's social meet-up people? :d

There's a clue you haven't spotted yet.....

Again, you look way too happy..!

Good god!

There are 30 men and 2 ladies here, it would be horrible if the scenario is trying to mate, isn't it.

And I can't say that arguing is a preferable choice either... XD

There's a clue you haven't spotted yet.....

I want to see, I want to see! Hmmmmmphhhh!

Oh, got to go back to the err.. either one of that scenario above. XD

Home! (Talk to tablet with much nicer tone than colleagues)

Now I can see the picture.. whoa lots of snow.

From the print it looks like a very dissarayed, a mess. It doesn't look like particular recognizable animal's paw print, so it's not ordinary running, walking, tracing path or looking for something, but more like hunting, or being hunted. Panic, trying to escape.

I'd say being hunted, because there seems to be only one kind of print. Squirrel is mentioned, so it couldn't be squirrel hunting something. Squirrels are ground animal, so there has to be another type of footprints, but there isn't. So most probably it is being hunted, by a bird.

Wow, good deduction! Yes, indeed, a squirrel being hunted by a bird. We have large hawks who sometimes sit in the trees near the feeder, I'm guessing hoping to pick off one of the smaller birds. They'll go after squirrels too. Even my cats are careful to stay under cover when these guys are flying around, which fortunately is not too often. There was a family of them in the yard next door last year, though; it was interesting watching the young ones learning to fly. You knew when they were out because all the other birds/animals went quiet and disappeared.

The clues: erratic nature of the squirrel trail, and the fact that the trail never reaches the area where the bird feeder is, on the right. The squirrel was heading that way but never made it; had to start dodging instead.

The other clue is hard to see but here's a close-up of it:

Not sure if that's the mark of talons or wingtips, but something was definitely diving on poor Mr. Squirrel.

That is interesting. Invite me, invite me, I will camp there to observe them. You only need to throw me scraps once in a while, I am very low maintenance. Once in a while I will throw big boulder at your window to ask for coffee and internet access. And shower, a lot. That's all.

And geez, I hope your cats are agile enough all the time. Not too agile to compete for the scraps though.

Will find picture.

Well, there's the bird feeder right there, so I don't even need to throw the scraps, right? :p

No kitties now. :( Someday again, I hope, but now's not the right time to introduce a new kitty to the house, I'm not around enough. Soon, I hope...I've been suffering cat withdrawal too long......

Sorry, I thought you still have some while wanting to adopt more.  I travel a lot, so I'm very lucky that the original owner of the dog I adopted is willing to foster him everytime I travel, that's the perk that made me agree on the first place.

Hope you find a way. It's not really fun when I have no competitor for scrap. Nah.. I don't want bird food. What I meant with scraps are prawns, lobster, baked potato, chicken chops.., and no, no green glob.

So, what is this?

It looks like a giant press. Maybe it is for putting paper or some other material through to be turned into something. This could be the beginning part or the end part.

Is it a giant printing press?

Something for crushing boxes?

Picky, picky, picky.

I'll get another kitty or two some day, it's just not the right time right now.

It's a factory!

What do I win?

Posted

Okay.

It's a very clean factory, so I'm thinking it's not making industrial type stuff. Those cardboard pieces, I'm thinking they have something to do with catching drips, not anything to do with the actual product. Hmm, what else? Pipes -- that implies either gas or liquid is involved in the process. I agree with Camper, some of those bits look like old-fashioned printing presses ... so whatever is being made, is pressing part of the process?

First thought ... they're making something out of plastic, that's why it's so clean.

Posted

You would win a right to brag in front of a group of murderous racoons. :P

But nope, you haven't won yet!

Yes, the factory should be clean, but I think pressing is not part of the process, and the products are not plastic.

Maybe the pipes are for heating or cooling? Something to do with edible/drinkable substances?

Posted

There is no heating or cooling, and the products are not drinkable/edible.

Particle accelerator?

Particle accelerator. :p

Okay, so it's not making food or plastics, and it's not blowing up the world. So what's left?

The guy seems to be wearing headphones, which I assume means it's noisy, which to me means lots of moving parts. Not that that helps.

Is it some sort of high tech product, like microchips or something?

Posted

I know that particle accelerator. XD But I don't know the kind of particle that could be accelerated with this machine. :P

Yes, I guess it's noisy.

It's not for making high end products.

Study the picture more closely, there are something quite obvious there.

Obvious to you, maybe! :d

Hrm.

Giant loom?
