Fire station! Ding a ling a ling! It used to be the fire bell! Now it's just sculpture. I think they're cool.

Okayyyy, next?

Posted

Waks.. I'll look for something..

errr...Arcadia, rhetorical question, how old are you, :p You seem to know that train tyre all its life. XD

Posted

HEY!!!!!! bore.gifI DO know how to do research, you know! :D (Actually, I just read the sign next to the bell.... :P )

Posted

:D I didn‘t really say anything......:p

Okay, this should be easy. What is this?

Posted

I don't know the word for this in English, but....is this a channel to drain water?

Posted

It looks like what's left after you throw a couch out of an 18th story window.

Why 18th? XD what about 16th or 19th, or 17th. Let's talk about 13th. :p

But nope. Not drainage or couch.

(It took me while to figure out your new avatar Amber. At first I thought it's a flying scarf, apparently not..! :))

It looks like the foam padding that goes under carpeting

Posted

You just don't get that kind of shape out of any other floor, it has to be the 18th. Trust me. :p

Okay. It's attached to a metal frame with metal wires. It appears to be some kind of cloth. It's sagging or folded in the middle. That makes it ... I have no idea.

Ah! It's outside, in front of a wall, and the wall looks like it's in the process of being built. Something to hold the cement in? Or to smooth out the cement.

Could it be the form for a concrete facade or other concrete working for a building.

Posted

Okay okay, come to think of it, I've never dropped a couch from 18th floor before. XD

Not for cement or concrete, not carpeting either.

Posted

Whatever it is, there's another one in the distance.

The cloth makes me think of insulation. Hmm... could it be where they are going to lay some pipe before burying it? Like a water pipe, or sewer pipe?

Wait, that crossbar would make it difficult to put pipe in there .... and there's that hose or rope off to the right. Are they going to put that in there? So that concrete wall could be part of a sewer or water system that's being built?

Mmm, maybe not, though, because Amber sort of guessed that already...

Gas line? And the fabric is fire resistant?

Posted

Not water pipe, sewer system, gas line. No, the fabric is not fire resistant and doesn't need to be.

Clue: this thing is not necessary made this way, they are other or better way.

Posted

Not water pipe, sewer system, gas line. No, the fabric is not fire resistant and doesn't need to be.

OK, then they must be prison bunk beds, but the picture is sideways.

Taken during your most recent stay, I presume? XD   35o46Bs.gif

Ummmmmmmmmmm....frickety frack, why are there two of them? The fabric looks soft and thick ... is it meant to protect something, at least? And is this thing recycled from something else?

Posted

Is it made from recycled plastic or newspapers?

No, they released me right away after I promised not to do that again. I suspect it was just an excuse though, they acted a bit funny when I was mumbling about sleep being disturbed and Khan.

Not for protecting something.

In this case, it's not recycled from something else, but recycled material could be used as substitute as well.

Is it made from recycled plastic or newspapers?

Same with answer above, but plastic and newspapers are not something you want to use here.

Fiberglass insulation?

Posted

Nope, not fiberglass insulation. I saw similar lining used for wall insulation before, but this is not that.

Clue.. err.. it's outdoor. :P

Posted

You call that a clue?:huh:

Okay, this thing ... it looks so ..... improvised. But I don't know what that means.

Is it meant to hold something?

Posted

Looks like it is made from scraps of fabric that was repurposed more or less the same way with recycled paper - pulped, pressed, dried. Only this one probably added something that make it hard and make a knock-knock sound when tapped.

Posted

Okay, okay, I looked back and concluded what we have so far, and I've included a bunch of new clues with all your analysis, I swear.. :P

Amber

It's channel to drain water.

It's not, but there is a relation.

Camper

Foam padding under carpeting. It's not that, but the material is quite similar to that.

Concrete facade or concrete work, not in this case.

Recycled plastic or newspaper. No. Could be recycled material, but not plastic or newspaper.

Fiberglass insulation. No. Material similar to those wall lining for insulation, but it's not used as insulation here.

Arcadia

18th story couch leftover. Not, it's not. It's actually 13th!! Eh.. it's not. :P

Some kind of cloth, (I'm not sure it's categorized as cloth, let's say it's much thicker), sagging or folded in the middle, correct.

It's outside, yes. In front of a wall, yes.

Wall in process being built, no. But it could be. In this case, not though.

Something to hold cement in. No.

There is another one in the distance. Yes, there are similar ones around. Plural.

Gas line, no. Fabric being fire resistant. Not necessary.

Prison bunk bed. No XD My recent stay. Not really.  :angel2:   :angel1:

Protect something. No.

Recycled material. In this case no, but it very well could be.

Looks improvised. Yes, I believe it is to certain degree. Remember I said it could be done differently or better.

Meant to hold something. Yes.

Shadow

Some processed recycled material that have hard form.

I believe you mean something like those egg crate but sturdier. Not, the material is soft.

I need to brush my hair from the top of a tower.

To cradle something? I am thinking fiber optic cable but those usually minimum 1 meter deep for the conduit pipe.

Posted

Not to cradle something or for fiber optic cable.

It has nothing to do with electricity.

Posted

Bird feeders? Horse troughs?

Landing pads for people jumping from towers?

Containers for holding hair?

:blink::huh:
