Whatever remains

Recommended Posts

As I said above, I read "legit" stuff, so fanzines of any kind (Star Trek in all four mutations and Star Wars being my favourites) are completely uncharted waters! Maybe I would need Captain Sparrow's crazy compass to navigate them! Could anyone ask that dear soul, the gentlemanly administrator Undead Medic, who has helped me in the past, to create a Depp emoticon, since Black Mass?

But it isn't (never was) a Trekzine (though it did naturally cover Trek news along with everything else).  What I meant was, I don't know of any Trek zines going on to bigger things.

Ah. Got it.

going even more off-topic, this subject of zines reminds me of DWB, which started off as a Dr Who zine in the early 80s, went pro as a general sci-fi mag in the 90s, evolved into 'Dreamwatch'.... then sort of fizzled out (i think due to the runaway success of SFX magazine)

apparently though the owner became a millionaire off the back of it, which surprises me! (a friend bumped into someone who turned out to be the owner's brother)

Does anyone know what happened to the Sherlock Holmes Gazette magazine? Run i think by David Stuart Davies? (don't quote me!) Did it end with the Northern Musgraves which he also ran?

There's a new quarterly 'Crime' magazine by the makers of SFX .... which i don't think will last too long...

Might be a response to a post that I moved to the Favorite Movies thread a day or two ago?  Bev, had you brought up that post on Wednesday or Thursday, left it sitting on your screen, and just responded to it today?  If so, I'll move your post over there too.

You were on the right page, but I had moved the post you were replying to.  I've now moved your post as well.
