  1. I'm watching this special on PBS about Polar Bears. Because of global warming, ice isn't freezing as soon as it used to. Their usual prey are seals, but they're not on the shore per ice isn't solid, so the bears go into this town called Churchill in Northern Canada, & feed on humans, dogs & dog food. They walk thru electrical fences. There's a law that keep the people from killing them, so they're using rubber bullets that doesn't always work. Now there's this land owner who's trying to get their local government to allow the people to feed the polar bears out on the coast so that the bears won't feel the need to come into town for food. Wow! Nature truly is a beast. And maybe global warming isn't just rubbish or paranoia. This is serious!
  2. Shut up. You're thinking. It's annoying.
  3. Oh y'all forgot about John in the bonfire... Things are hotting up here.
  4. Hoochie Momma!!!! HOOCHIE Momma!
  5. I'm so late, don't know how I missed this. 1.) 33 year old male, he has no illnesses or Allergies. 2.) At a wedding in suit & tie, NO BELT!, How would you kill him during the wedding ceremony & get away with it... Hmmm?
  6. I like this, don't necessarily agree with ranking, they give you space to tell them why you would disagree.: http://m.digitalspy.com/british-tv/s129/sherlock/feature/a593201/sherlock-all-9-episodes-ranked-from-best-to-worst.html
  7. Yeah, when you share space, those who chose to be, let's say more explicit/R rated in use of language or smoke toxic things like cigarettes or like to a have a good rumble with their friends or like to engage in so much PDA that it becomes more like a soft porn... Need to understand that we share public spaces, & because they chose to be like that, should be considerate. Be in environments, where that behavior is morally acceptable. Now the PDA, behind closed doors only please. A nice 10 second kiss with rubbing on the back & hand holding in public ok... But beyond that.... BLECH!!!
  8. You know I used to want to skydive, but recently @ a Cincinnati Reds (professional baseball) game I was seated in one of the handicapped sections per I had a panic attack in the stadium seating. I felt like I was falling. I guess because it was really steep. I've been on roller coasters! I was like what?!? So I don't know if it had to do with the angle of the seating or if I've developed a new fear as I've aged?? Any who... Yay! Skydiver. Horseback riding does sound thrilling, would love to try it someday. Hmmm may be a good girlfriend time... You know with my girlfriends.
  9. Sorry. She's still not Sherlock material, in my opinion based on what Sherlock is into. If the writers did that, they would be conceding to fans. Would no longer be about Sherlock. That would be really disappointing for me personally.
  10. I wonder what kind of man he turned out to be?
  11. Well I - have. - In the voice of Irene Adler.
  12. John pretty adamantly denies that Sherlock is his commanding officer ... but I suppose this could be the answer. It just seemed to me they were trying to draw a more direct parallel between the type of people Sholto and Sherlock are, not just they're relationship to John. I suppose Sholto could be seen as someone who had to make a rather tragic and/or morally gray decision ... as a foreshadowing to Sherlock's decision to kill Magnussen. Which makes me wonder if Sholto's external scarring will foreshadow Sherlock's internal scarring.... Just because John denies that Sherlock is his commander, it's obvious he is. John sacrifices sleep & rest & even self respect obeying Sherlock's commands, until a case is completely solved. He talks about having a court date/ASBO (Heh heh heh ), as he's taking off his coat: SHERLOCK (slamming his book shut): This symbol: I still can’t place it. (Turning and putting the book down, he walks over to John who has just started to take his jacket off, and pulls the jacket back onto his shoulders.) SHERLOCK: No, I need you to go to the police station ... JOHN (indignantly, as Sherlock turns him around and steers him towards the door): Oi, oi, oi! SHERLOCK: ... ask about the journalist. JOHN (exasperated): Oh, Jesus! SHERLOCK (grabbing his own coat from the back of the door): His personal effects will have been impounded. Get hold of his diary, or something that will tell us his movements. (They go downstairs and out onto the street.) SHERLOCK: Gonna go and see Van Coon’s P.A. If we retrace their steps, somewhere they’ll coincide. (He walks off down the street. John sees a taxi coming around the corner and hails it. As it pulls over to the kerb he sees an Oriental-looking woman with dark hair and wearing dark sunglasses standing on the other side of the road and taking a photograph. Her camera is aimed in his direction. He bends to the taxi driver’s window.) JOHN: Scotland Yard.
  13. Yeah, what Carol said.
  14. Why didn't I notice that? You're right -- taken at face value, Sherlock's statement seems hypocritical at best. (What you mean, "we"?) But apparently he realizes that, and in fact realizes what he's actually put John through, and is sorry for it, and uses that knowledge of emotion to appeal to Sholto, thus saving John a further blow. Maybe that ties in to why he acted as liaison between John and Mary in "Last Vow." He didn't want John to be bereft again, not if he could help it. That Toby... An illuminator of light.
  15. I don't know, if someone gives me a complete rundown of my life, then I look them up & they're talking about the science of deduction, then in 1 day the main detective is seeking his advise on a string of mystery suicides that's front lining the papers. I'd be intrigued. By the way he doesn't trust him right away, he questions him throughout & unlike Sherlock, he didn't move in immediately & he didn't even have very much to move.... So don't see the immediate trust... That was just Mycroft's take on their situation. Although he's never wrong, supposedly...
  16. V I V A C I O U S N E S S Top That!
  17. Welcome Dani, I have no idea what book he was reading...
  18. I like that, but then I remember his therapist said he had "trust issues." Although to be honest I am not sure what she is referring to. He mistrusts Mycroft from the moment he sees him, but who doesn't? He didn't trust his therapist, per was reading her writing upside down... And he wasn't doing the things she advised him per he didn't believe it would help, or maybe he felt she didn't truly understand/listen to him.: Ella: How's your blog going? Dr John Watson: Yeah, good. Very good. Ella: You haven't written a word, have you? Dr John Watson: You just wrote, "still has trust issues". Ella: And you read my writing upside down. You see what I mean? John, you're a soldier. It's going to take you a while to adjust to civilian life. And writing a blog about everything that happens to you will honestly help you. Dr John Watson: Nothing happens to me.
