Part of that is because Downton Abby, produces more shows. I personally don't like watching things shot from the colloquial/Victorian era. Although I was all about Django Unchained! Everytime I keep trying to get out that Quentin Tarantino keeps pulling me back in!

Stop it. -
About time, he said something about his win! Fine, but maybe he'll invest in a Hollywood home for all the time he's shooting movies in the US.

Yeah, but this is who they are. We don't have to buy John is addicted to danger, but that is how Steven & Mark chose to tell the story. So it's true in fiction. Yeah. I wouldn't say they're a good person except they shot my granny. However the unrealistic/ fictional characters of John and Sherlock would. Have you ever had a ridiculous fantasy that feels real, but the details are exaggerated. I feel that is BBC Sherlock, its fantasy with fantastic drama and ridiculous twist and turns that would never happen in real life. Dear Sherlock, help me find Bluebell.

Hay HLV won Emmy's over The Normal Heart?! In my opinion, that speaks volumes. I sometimes feel a little guilty about my levellevel of excitement over the Sherlock wins.

There is something about your posts that always makes me want to reply... Thanks for that! I kind of agree that Sherlock has a tendency to be attracted to people who are bad for him (Irene, Moriarty), and his liking for Mary may have something to do with that, but on the other hand, I don't see in what way she isn't good for him except for the one shot, which was nor primarily an attempt to harm him so much as protect herself. Besides, in what way is John bad for Sherlock? Or Mrs Hudson, or Lestrade, or Molly? Sherlock isn't quite so F***ed up (yet...) that he only chooses friends who will hurt him. About John and what exactly he is angry about. My impression is that it's mostly Mary's "lie", as he calls it. The fact that she was playing a part the whole time, and didn't even let him in on her secret when they were about to get married. I don't think he's afraid her love for him might be an act as well - it's pretty obviously real, if you ask me, though one could debate whether it's a particularly healthy or selfless kind of affection. He really doesn't seem too upset about the fact that she shot Sherlock, maybe because Sherlock didn't really die, maybe because of Sherlock's explanation and his insistence that Mary saved his life and is to be trusted. Who knows. If you ask me, John is still very pissed off with Sherlock as well. Like he did with Mary, he thinks he has forgiven him, but he certainly has not really gotten over his hurt and anger. I have another theory, too. I think John is just as scared that he might stop loving Mary as she is, and that is why he just doesn't deal with anything that could challenge that love. He ignores her near-fatal attack on Sherlock as best he can. He tosses the memory stick into the fire. This may be considered magnanimous, but it could just as well be a sign of something else altogether. Now, the next question would be, why would John be so set on keeping Mary? Well, it seems to me that he was looking for a woman for the longest time, and this is the first relationship that really worked out. Mary and John, in spite of everything, just have this "they were made to be" quality. So there's the "finally I found somebody" thing plus the "she's the one" thing, and both together must be pretty powerful. An even more interesting question is, why is Sherlock so determined to stay on Mary's side. I think first of all, he likes her, just likes her as a person. Then, having her around, whom he is now used to and who accepts and "gets" him, is probably a lot more convenient than having to deal with a string of annoying and unsympathetic girl-friends of John's, and John will always have women in his life. And finally, I think Sherlock himself realizes that John is still angry with him underneath all their restored cameraderie, and he's bent on doing anything that will somehow count as atonement. Mary is the most important factor in John's life now, so helping him hold on to her is probably the biggest favor he can do him. And so Sherlock tries. I think he'd try even if he didn't like her. Deep. Snapping my fingers, like I'm in a beatnik bar, listening to truth in the spoken word.

Yeah. He doesn't have freckles as Sherlock. But without make-up he has subtle freckles, as himself.

I don't know if it would be necessary to flash back in my opinion, but they may have to do it for the sake of new comers to the show. I don't know, I feel rather satisfied with character & story line development so far. I trust that Steve nor Mark will disappoint. What I mean is we are guaranteed an emotional response, weather they take us in a desirable direction or not. Well hopefully they won't "Jump the shark" or anything. I don't think they will. What would jumping the shark be for Sherlock? A surprise appearance by Tracy Morgan? Yeah, I think that would qualify. -
