I'll be crying over here if anyone needs me. So much for going to Sherlocked. Wah wah.

I think it's LA, which sucks for us east coast folks. Building front mid-left: Building front mid-right:

Have any of you that go on tumblr seen the speculation about this being Molly's place? I have spent an embarrassing amount of time looking at the bookshelves.

    It's a darkroom door.

I'm not feeling too confident about being able to go to Sherlocked. There are palm trees on the top of the page in the skyline.

You like? I thought it was time to get my hair cut...

This is everything I never knew I needed or wanted in life...

:-D Now I really want a Sherlock Holmes version where he is female and played by Louise Brealey. She's got the hat and the wig!

Stranger Things on Netflix is soooo good.

I'm feeling less than confident about season 4 after the trailer. Mycroft being called a reptile by Mrs. Hudson?! Myc, what did you do?! Also, Molly sounds so upset, and then is that Sherlock in a morgue looking very distraught? I'd trade all the Hiddleston Sherrinfords in the world to see Molly safe and sound and Mycroft not some heinous, evil person.

    Gatiss be trolling....

Is everyone else in the US hiding in their houses from the heatwave this weekend? My goal is to not go outside at all, except to get the mail and maybe take out trash and recycling.

Ben will be at the Sherlock panel tomorrow... https://www.facebook.com/Sherlock.BBCW/videos/869094789857784/

The other thing I'm concerned about is who the guests will be. I mean, if you look at the UK one this year... most of the big names for the most part are missing so far, and it's in two months. Benedict, Martin, Amanda, Loo, Andrew, Rupert... I'm sure some/most of those will end up going b/c it's more local, but I wouldn't want to throw down the type of money they're asking without any certainty of who is going. Especially if the US event gets fewer big name guests b/c of the distance thing.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they're keeping the location (and date) secret until the day tickets go on sale. I'm actually a bit put out about all this. That plus their general attitude earlier this year when US folks were annoyed about the lack of info/an event. "Stop complaining on our FB page and leave us alone. Let the people going to UK Sherlocked be happy. Why are you sucking all their fun?!"

It would be nice if we could get a location and pricing before tickets actually go on sale, but alas no. We're a large country and travel arrangements need to be worked out. I'd rather not have to work it all out in a panic the day tickets go on sale (if I can even go b/c between travel and ticket pricing my H's eyes might roll right out of his head).

Baker Street Babes on tumblr are saying Sherlocked US event is being announced and tickets are going on sale 8/17. Will be in first half of 2017. http://bakerstreetbabes.tumblr.com/post/147846993950/announcement-from-sue-vertue-hurrah-hurrah-for

That scene simultaneously always breaks my heart and yet still makes me go...

    Glad it's likely nothing, J.P.!

That's true. Game of Thrones anyone? lol

I was mostly curious if Gatiss had been nominated for supporting, but maybe that was Martin instead. I'm clearly a Gatiss homer, but I thought he was fantastic as Mycroft in TAB.

Yes, each show decides who and for what episodes they're submitting. I looked for the submission info, but couldn't find it.

I've been assuming we'll get 5, as they've already written it, yes? Or at least have a plan for it? I'd be surprised if we get much more than that, though.
