I know this guy since he was a tiny puppy. He is technically still a puppy (less than a year with an adult-sized body). He has this obsession to groom me (those tiny harmless nibble) but he also likes to chew my arms. Helpless chews but can be painful after a while.

Here he was trying to chew but after I growled at him he pretended not to hear me, act naturally as if nothing happened, and went back to nibbling.

I don't know how to post video, hope the link works. I don't know how to embed it.

I don't know the actual context. These are Belgian Malinois, one of the smartest and most discipline dogs. They are seriously amazing. I assume this is a training.

Yup, that link works fine -- looks like "doggy see, doggy do."   :D

I used to know how to hotlink to videos (so they look like they're embedded in the post), but can't seem to get it to work just now.  Anybody else remember how?

That only works with selected sites that the forum recognizes, like YouTube. In which case, just paste the address in.

Oh, good -- I wasn't fantasizing then, merely over-generalizing.  Thanks!

Beautiful cat!  (Looks kinda like our neighbor's Buddy.)

But does the phrase "fully charged orange floof" have some other meaning?

Only in that the sunspots look like the charge level display of a battery.

OK, was wondering if that sunshine had anything to do with whatever the joke was.

I shall now laugh.   :D

We were bombarded by five puppies yesterday morning. I swear they are not my kids and my dog Locky also swears they are not his kids.

They ‘belong’ to a beach vendor. In here, everyone helps to raise these dogs because they might not get enough food or proper medications/vaccination from the owners alone. At the very least, they have a ‘place.’

Good news. One of the challenges of befriending strays is never knowing for sure if they are well at all times. I used to patronize this stretch of beach and do regular feeding, but when this beach’s authority forbade the activity (long, stupid story), I vowed not to go there as long as the stupid regulation was at place. Thankfully it didn’t last long, but with Covid etc, it’s not my regular beach anymore and I only come here once in a while. This was three/four days ago.

The visit was great, because I still met some surviving regulars. These two seniors were well and they still remembered and greeted us. Of course, I brought them something special. The younger ones were great as well and now we have new puppy friends.

The second (bottom) one looks like a dog we had when I was a kid.  We called her Poochie.

'Mine' is call Cowy in local language here. :DMy parents call him cowy in our mother-tongue. He is white with brown spots.

His real name? O'Neil! :lol5:

We are lucky to know his real name. Most stray dogs here have at least five names, since people like me just name them until we learn the actual name (if they have any). The magic is, they are so smart they respond accordingly. Some only respond to the names I gave them even after I call them by their actual names.

Maybe they respond to different names, depending on who's calling them?  So if somebody else called them by your name for them, they might not respond?

That means they are even smarter! :D

I believe so. My dog has 87 nicknames and he knows them all.

On topic, here is my neighbor's dog, Archie. Archie thinks my hose water is the best, he has exorbitant treat tax rate for me, and he tries to sneak in whenever he can.

Nowadays I have to help the neighbor 'catch' him because he always tries to escape her while let me grab him. I have no idea why she let him roam outside. It's dangerous even when we have a pet-friendly neighborhood.

I can't be sure from a photo, but he looks like a medium-size dog, so he may need more room than is available in her house.  Or maybe he's so lively that he endangers her fragile knickknacks?  Or maybe she just thinks dogs belong outdoors?

Does she leave him outdoors all the time?  Or in the daytime but not at night?

He is a small/medium size. Long body, short leg.

He stays in the front yard of the neighbor. Before they got him, they let our two neighborhood strays dogs inside as and when they feel like it. (the dogs even have beds). They still feed these strays daily, but I notice they are not going inside the fence anymore.

I’m dealing with visa problem and have to go back and forth currently. There are probably four houses, including mine (of ten) who help to feed these strays. However, none of them seems to have knowledge about dog training or medication. The strays have skin problems regularly, but they clear up after I medicate them. When I have been away for a while, I always come back to them having their skin issues back. So, it’s one of my concern for Archie. If he stays outside often, he might get skin issue. I’m being judgmental but I hope the owner becomes more knowledgeable now. We did have a conversation back then about the medication for the strays and I had shared what I know.

While Archie is playful, he is not destructive as far as I know. He digs my pitiful yard, that’s all. Other than that he mostly chills, plays ball with me. He loves smelling the messy plants, and the neighbor’s yard looks fine to me. I think it’s a training and boundary problem. It will get worse if she can’t get it together, especially because I think Archie is not neutered yet. She indeed always tries to get him inside, to call him, and expresses her worries about Archie’s new habit: chasing cars and motorcycles. We are secluded in a dead end path, but there are still light traffic, and when Archie is outside, he ventures to the bigger neighborhood road. This is very dangerous because of the possibility of him getting hit or harmed by unhappy humans.

I definitely have seen him outside at night/early in the morning. I walk my dog around at night and we go to the beach early in the morning. Archie never fails to come and asks for treats that’s why I know how often he is outside (at least 50%).

Here are the photos of him. He always spends time with me while I’m outside and has to be enticed to get out of my fence. My mom joked that he tries to adopt us.

Here he is all wet after he stuck his head inside my water bucket (that is how he drinks!)

I think it was just a prompt question to put as caption. Since I was reviewing a cafe, I think it's the template for Google to ask about menu. I always include some dog pictures for pet-friendly establishment, because it's rare enough and I want them to continue being pet-friendly. Nothing weird but I did have a shock when I saw it (and a laugh after) ,so I took a screenshot.

I don't know how to post a video here without uploading in a third-party media like Youtube. This is the place where we befriend many stray dogs, one of our regular beaches in the morning. I usually just sat around the area without being a patron. One night, I decided to bring Mom (who was visiting) and my dog to enjoy the live music while trying their food because it was a full moon. We were accompanied by our regular stray dogs and it was nice they allowed it (it's a beach anyway, but it was a plus that they were kind to the dogs) so I left a nice review.

I'm a dog person, but sometimes I relate to cats more. I mean, look at that face! That is my face!
