Actually, I was on this forum a year ago or so. But then I lost my password and had no time even to restore it. Now I found the password and yet I wanna start a new account.

The ones who knew me before I started this account can probably remember my first attempts to make something Sherlock-related of polymer clay. I have improved my skills to the level you can see here  http://fanshop.tumblr.com :D

I move to the capital of my wonderful country - Kyiv

Also I am now learning Japanese and German.  German doesn't go really well, but 日本語は迚も楽しいそして面白いです。 ^_^

So hello everyone ;)

Welcome back! I think I even remember you! :D

Welcome back, Jane - we've neither forgotten your polymer clay work nor your crossover fiction . And sure, Japanese is interesting and fun, aber Deutsch ist das auch :P.

Hi, Jane!  I'm relieved to hear from you again (considering what I've been hearing from your part of the world on the news).  Welcome back!

sherlockandjohn, thanks

Janie, I do remember you too ^_^

Caya, I'm always really surprised when one likes that fic. I even deleted the original story because that's my worst fanfic ever <_< My pride is a parentlock fic, but it has 42 parts, I think I can neither manage to translate it in one summer nor have time for that when I go to lyceum... Sad. I'd love to.

Carol, thank you  Interesting, what they say about the situation on your TV. Could you tell me in a couple of words?

Well if you consider that your worst fanfic ever, all I can say is I'm really curious about the others ;) ... I rather liked the crossover, you know.

Welcome back!

Just out of curiosity: Why would anybody bother learning German?

Posted

... uhh -- to be able to converse with Germans?  ;)

Jane, I don't often listen to the news (so many truly depressing things that I can do nothing about), but as I recall, there was a good bit of talk about the Russian army invading portions of the Ukraine.  (Didn't sound like anything I'd care to experience, to say the least.)  Did that have anything to do with your move to Kiev?

Hello jjhankin and welcome to the forum!

Make yourself right at home .

Hello, jjhankin -- welcome to Sherlock Forum!  :welcome:  Glad you found us!

Caya, you just make me want to translate that one and have another unfinished work... We shall live and see, I'm flattered anyway ^_^

T.o.b.y, oh an unexpected question  It's like a rule over here. The main language one should learn is English, then goes German. Our parents and grandparents learned it as a first foreign language. Even now in some schools children learn it instead of English. And well, it has great amount of speakers.

Carol, well, I'm kinda glad to hear that your news at least say something like the truth. 'Cause the news in Russia say right opposite things, so the people there mostly think they're right doing that <_< No, it's all okay were I lived and live now. I had my exams to the lyceum before it all started ^_^

jjhankin, welcome

Welcome to you as well, jjhankin!

We also learn German in school here, though to my knowledge it's only mandatory for one year - however, if we don't choose German, we have to learn French, and even fewer people have any use of that. Although I must say I don't think either language will be mandatory for much longer, seeing as English is more and more common, and it's my experience that most Germans speak English well. Denmark being so close to Germany, it used to be very advantageous to know the language.

I only joined in March of this year, so I am unfamiliar with you. But I would like to take the opportunity to :welcome: you to the forum.
