I watched Star Trek into Darkness in IMAX 3D with Johnspec yesterday. They had a 3D trailer for Dr. Strange and it was brilliant. I'm thinking of seeing it in that version. Not sure when those as I planned a trip the same weekend it opens.

Yes, I've been thinking about that too. Expensive, but maybe worth it.....

I don't really like wearing the 3d glass and always peek.

Sorry, I meant the iconic hazmat suit from Breaking Bad.2qao9lk.jpg

Sixteen minute interview in Hong Kong with Tilda and Ben, better than most I've seen, imo, lots of cute moments. They match each other's humor well. Also links to many other promos. The next one to pop up was Korean, but I haven't watched it yet.

Found the full version of this: press conference in Hong Kong for Dr. Strange. Some good questions from the press (for a change).

ETA: Okay, so the first two questions from the press were good.

Okay people, you can all calm down now!

I just had a slight panic there.

Got confused with my dates and completely forgot tickets for this at the local cinema went on sale last Monday!

Anyhow, managed to get me and my pal booked in!

So a week tomorrow, I'll be seeing the film.

Yay!

Watching Benedict play that game is like watching my nephew play that game. So dedicated. :D

A short interview with Ben. Nothing new, but nice. http://www.shortlist.com/entertainment/how-do-you-get-this-man-to-act-in-a-superhero-film

And a longer one, with Ben and the director, talking about spirituality and multi-verses. This movie was clearly made with me in mind.... http://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=11731165

Thanks, oh okay - I think I saw a few there, but don't remember properly. I don't watch BB, that's why I didn't know. Maybe we should make a separate (non specially Sherlock-themed) thread for Cons, so I don't spam all here with the Comic Con stuff. I just actually mentioned it here because I saw few Dr.Strange Costumes ;P

One week to go for me, on Wednesday seeing Dr. Strange here, yay!   :)

@ Arcadia: James Marsters actually played a little concert on friday for the comic con people exclusively. Unfortunately the atmosphere was quite shit, like in the big cold empty hall and people sitting like chickens in a row, James just had an acoustic guitar and a few lovely stories, so this all did not fit together. I think if they had at least dimmed the light a bit, it would have not been so cold and impersonal. Also not many people there, maybe 200-300, while the Panel next day was packed with people when he was there.

Not really James' fault, it was just a shit environment to stand alone with an acoustic guitar, it would have been nicer if it had been maybe a living room-like little club, you know. Also some said he would play 2 hours, he only played 1. I am sure the organizing people screwed him over too by the high extra ticket price, and the poor guy had to drink cheap Lidl Discounter water on stage. Pretty much disappointing for all I guess. But the rest of the Con was fun, as long as you didn't really want some autographs and pics with the 'big stars' such as Christopher Lloyd, for all was expensive and you had to stand in line for ages. For me it was pretty relaxed after I got in the first day (it so helped to have a VIP Ticket, no standing in line at the entrance, yay!), it was just so overwhelming all the colourful things and many people there....was my first Con after all. ;)

Ouch. Poor James. They could at least have given him a chair.

If that were a gif, depending on how he played with the fan, it could work for the hot gifs thread. :)

Yep! But the Jenga game was much better! A 40-year-old kid doing a war dance! I just wish he had done the same in Sherlock TEH when he beat Mycroft in Operation!

P.S. I just loved his rant on his pet peeves, the toilet roll being something we have in common! :D

Well, pooh, it appears BC was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and I missed it. And I was even up, just not watching the right channel. :( Anyway, they did this very funny skit with Dr. Strange as a magician at a kid's party....

It was a brilliant episode. The interview portion is probably online too possibly at ABC's website if not YouTube.

Yep, it wasn't up earlier but it is now (at least for the moment). Here's one segment:

and the same page has links to the other segments.

BC has the perfect voice for intimidating children, don't you think? :D

PS -- The Jimmy Kimmel site says it will be available there to the general public in a week, in case YouTube takes it down before you get to watch it. Either way, you have to endure lots of ads. :(

Well, if he uses this method for his own kids he will need plenty.

Okay, he can show them this video when they don't behave as a warning :D

Why does BC say 'mem'?

I say 'meem', it's spelling says 'meem'!

Beats me! I've noticed sometimes he says it both ways, as if he believes there's some debate over the "correct" pronunciation. All I can think is that he's drawing on some classical background or other that would intimate it should be "mem." Or someone once told him it was "mem" and he can't get it out of his head.

Here's a possible (???) answer from Merriam-Webster: meme = alteration of mimeme, from mim- (as in mimesis) + -eme

Since "mimesis" is pronounced "mim", maybe he thinks the altered form should sound more like that too? Who knows what goes on in that complex little noggin of his?

another one for Arcadia, by James Marsters :D (and you're right, he did not even get a chair. Only for the panels they had a sofa. There you see how many people were there to see him talk, but there were not half of the hall full when he played music...)

Anyway, I love the Lorne - cosplay, they went by one time in the merch hall, and I saw too late that it was Lorne, they went by so fast I just saw the green and red and thought 'I know this cosplay, this is awesome!', until I could identify it - so I could not go up to them and tell them how cool and authentic it was. I am sure Andy Hallet watched from the heavens (R.I.P.) and was proud that his role was honoured in such a detailed way! So cool to see it in the video again now...the Drusillas are cute, too. Oh and Castiel! <3

Oh and today I bought the pre-Comic Book to the Dr.Strange-moviestory. I already see why the guy who Mads plays became the 'evil dude' (though I think he's not really evil, and not for evil's sake, at least the way I see it and can understand the reasons - so it's a likeable villain, probably like the way we love Loki too, for example - to stay in the Marvel-universe... ;) ), and I have not yet come to the point when he choses Dr.Strange as Nemesis, but I have a hunch what made the story to go after Dr.Strange and those two characters being opposites...I think I will read the end of the little book on the train tonight, then I will know more, and I can not wait for wednesday night!!! :boing::cowdance:

Thanks Bluebell! Good to see the Buffyverse is still well-represented!
