Sadly I never found out.

This was when were living in Wales, some years ago.

Unfortunately i lost touch with the staff at my old workplace and in fact I'm unsure if it still exists...

So maybe she would have to follow that career, if she lost her old job.

Another non-cryer here. Unless it involves animals. Endanger, injure or kill an animal on-screen, and I will sob like a child. Even in animated films. It's a little embarrassing, actually.

As far as I can recall, only one non-animal scene has ever made me cry, and that's when Buffy's mom died. Every time I saw it. Every. Time.

I regard Sherlock as more of a comedy than a drama, and I've never been anywhere close to tears while watching. I've felt sorry for one character or another at times, but not broken up enough to cry.

However --- there's a few scenes that have punched me in the gut. I hurt for John when Sherlock fell. I hurt for Sherlock at the wedding, that moment when he realized there was no one there for him. And I just hurt, period, during HLV, from the moment Sherlock is shot to the end. I don't think I've ever been so tense and anguished during a show in my life. I was a trembling wreck after that one. But teary? Nope.

90%, very close to exactly how i would reply.

The difference being 3 small things,

I don't watch Buffy..

I only cried in movie involving dogs.

And i don't see Sherlock as drama or comedy. In fact, i don't know what genre should i put it.

It makes me laugh more than comedy does, it makes me feel more than drama does, it makes me care for the characters more than i normally care about real people. I am really, really confused.

Oh, yeah, I know. Definitely. Sherlock was manipulating John, but I just wasn't sure about it the first time I watched it. Sherlock had me (my heart, not my mind) convinced for a moment that he was sincere - and when John then responded by practically repeating the words from the grave, I teared up. To me, it was emotional, even if it was manipulation on Sherlock's behalf. I still can't believe the jerk behaved like that :) but I have to forgive him for it, because it's Sherlock. Can't stay mad at him forever, especially not after seeing how scared he was when he realised John was in the fire, or how he rushed in there to save him.

Yes.. the only time (i think) that we saw him eating, he dropped it to the ground to rush for John. Poor him, i am sure he barely remember eat. His mind palace woud be so full that he has to erase something so that the brain can remind him that he needs food.

However, i stil believe that he was sincere in his apologize, but couldn't help himself because he was amused with John's expression. It happens to me, in all seriousness of situation, i could crack uop because there is something funny. It doesnn't mean i undermine the serious situation or not sincere, it just the impulse to appreciate good laughs. World is pretty grim the way it is.

So anyhow, what scenes might make me cry? Probably the saddest one for me, and one that has not been specifically mentioned yet, is John's anguished "I’m a doctor, let me come through. Let me come through, please. No, he’s my friend. He’s my friend. Please." Just seeing those words makes me choke up. And second place would be a multiple tie among a bunch of other "Reichenbach" scenes that other people have already mentioned.

Yes.. and Martin Freeman great touch of making the speech slurry, thick with emotion.

Yes, that's true, isn't it? I haven't seen a comedy (on TV) in years that has made me laugh as much as Sherlock does, and most TV dramas are either too grim or too dull for me. Very few things on TV make me think, either, and I very much enjoy thinking!

Watching TSOT this week (3x total) I was laughing so hard I had tears flowing.  I find myself laughing through most of the episodes with little snag points of emotional feels (some major as in the rooftop at St. Bart's).

Precisely! I even dare to say Sherlock is the funniest show without trying too hard. It's brilliant show in all levels. Can't remember the last time I proudly declare something as my favorite and heartlessly think people who don't agree as... clots.

Sherlock has never made me cry. I've laughed plenty, but I don't remember ever crying. I did cry watching Doctor Who when the Ponds left (Amy's afterword) and again with the 11th Doctor's farewell speech.

Oh, hah. I already answered this. Should have checked first. :)
