And I didn't even resist, futilely or otherwise.

Wait... do I have to feel guilty because I don't know what Borglock Collective is?  :sofa:

Posted

Well, that's hardly their fault! :p

Hmmm... Khan vs. the Borg, that might be worth seeing.......

Posted

Khan would walk over their cold corpses and wipe the floor with them. XD

Ahhhhh.. I think I know why Khan fascinates me so much. Forget about superhero power, he has three abilities that I always want; very superior intelligence, ability to heal and ability to destroy. I mean it. Those should be enough to get through with life. How nice. :)

I will collect things I had posted before that scattered around other threads, if I remember.

Here is one:

The Hound of Bonacville (a nod to Hound of Baskerville), known more as Montauk monster, is an animal carcass found on the beach near Montauk. It was speculated to be a carcass of unidentified animal as result of science experiment from nearby animal testing facility, Plum Island Animal Disease Center.

However, it was later concluded as raccoon by experts, with its odd appearance caused by decomposition and impact of the water motion.

Warning: not pretty

I didn't know raccoons had beaks.

I really want to see this.

I didn't know raccoons had beaks.

They say it has missing upper jaw.

I can see that, but there is always room for doubt, because apparently carcasses with similar features had been spotted on various other places as well.

I really want to see this.
Me too, if that means I will see Khan again. :)

Inventor of Operation John Spinello sold his rights to the game for USD500 and promise of a job.

Currently it is made by Hasbro, with franchise worth of USD40 millions.

Maybe everyone else know this, but it's interesting for me to know because I have never played Operation and only aware of the concept generally.

- Patient is named Cavity Sam.

- Playable parts; adam's apple, broken heart, wrenched ankle, butterflies in stomach, spare ribs, water on the knee, funny bone, charley horse, writer's cramp, rubber bone connector, wish bone, bread basket, brain freeze.

I love Sherlock's sunny disposition in that scene. Do you suppose he was being so agreeable just to drive Mycroft mad? :p

Tall fur cap worn as military uniform is called bearskin, made from Canadian blackbear's fur and skin. There has been movement from animal rights groups to change it to artificial fur.

The iconic headgear is worn by regiments of the Grenadier, Welsh, Scots, Irish and Coldstream Guards who make up the Foot Guards in the Army’s Household Division, responsible for guarding the Queen.

Are you thinking of Pink? :P

TRF director Toby Haynes got his idea of making use the ambulance station outside Bart as blind spot after he nearly run over by double-decker bus that was swinging around and disappeared completely behind it.

There is a plaque set near the ledge of Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland, homage to Sherlock Holmes.

That's pretty amazing, actually.

Yes it is. I have been wanting to visit Switzerland, our relatives (the rare one: the one we like :P) stay there and have been asking for years, maybe this motivates me to save faster.

Speaking of budget and monetary problem :p:

Because there was no budget for the second one, Amanda was in that one wedding dress for nine days, twelve hours a day. It had to be mended constantly.

I love Sherlock's expression here. While he doesn't like party, he certainly wants to be seen and important in John's.

Sherlock almost photobombed that pic. As for Amanda's dress: wasn't the fabric vintage, so that they didn't have more of it? It would also explain why it fell apart so easily.

Yes, it's something like antique lace, but according to the costume designer Sarah Arthur the problem is budget. Maybe it's possible to get the material, but on exorbitant cost that's why they settled for one.

Olfactory is the sensory system used for sense of smell.

Later science study determines that human can smell at least one trillion distinct scents, a far cry from previous estimate of 10000.
