All these will affect my itinerary one day, if I ever decide to visit London. I would need to have a separate day on my own to grin like mad, and have my own sweet time exploring. But London would be last, I'd really love to see Reichenbach falls.

And the well mannered, polite, adorable character who holds minor positions in British goverment:

He peeps at John's notebook and threatens to assassinate him unless he burns his notes about Bruce Partington plan. :p XD

Okay, this proves that there are still plenty things to notice for the next few generations of fans :D

I would rather say that it is just a quirk of Amanda or Mary, or her body language revealing that she's hiding something (that would be quite smart, btw)

That blog -- which third scene is it talking about, the post-Leinster-Gardens scene ("You're a client!")? And the implication could be that the scene occurred only in Sherlock's mind palace?

OK then, how 'bout this: Mary never really shot Sherlock. That was all in his mind palace (which would explain some of the inconsistencies we've noticed). He had merely deduced some of her past, and extrapolated the scene from that. Maybe it really *was* Lady Smallwood who shot him...

I thought it's some kind of body language 'closed/reserved/I am not what I am' when I saw it.

I'm not sure if that the showmakers really pay attention to those details, but I think they do. Another great one is the scene of John in cemetery, when he was about to walk away. He made a turn with his ankle the way a soilder would, which I think it's a very nice touch.

I think there are a couple more but don't have it on top of my head now.

Sherlock deduces that Magnussen's security guard is an ex-con and white supremacist based on his tattoo.

A five dot is known as prison tattoo where the four dots represents four walls and dot in the middle represents the inmate.

14 is a number for fourteen word white nationalist phrase, "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children."

It can be used to refer to a different 14-word slogan: "Because the beauty of the White Aryan woman must not perish from the earth."

14 is commonly combined with 88, another white supremacist number taken from H as the 8th in the alphabet, HH means 'Heil Hitler.'

I love where Sherlock stands here," White supremacist, by the tattoo, so who cares? Stick with Janine."

I found it amazing. During first viewing I saw a soldier showing trough in almost every scene I saw. I also remember that the first thing that made Sherlock very special to me, was Martin's acting. And it's so subtle.

The look he  gives the Pink Lady, his always closed collar, the fact that he has very limited wardrobe, the darkness you can see in his eyes sometimes, the way he tries to keep a straight face during the first encounter with Mycroft. And yes, the graveyard scene: I always had the impression he would salute the grave.

ETA: the way soldiers turn around must be the most efficient one. I often catch myself doing this.

I haven't caught Martin in his other's works, so I'm not sure it's intended or pure habit, I like his throat-clearing, it's very fitting in almost every scene he does.

I think Molly is pissed jealous.

Aw, Molly, my girl, he notices you. Just not the way you want him too.

The paper is crumpled. Nice touch. She is really angry.

:O From which scene is this (the autopsy report)?

:D Molly's own writing, let's see what casual graphology can say about her.

I've always taken it for granted those were what people said they were: umbrellas. But after taking a look at those screencaps, I'm not so sure! :p Could be fish or some abstract design....

Posted

Plus I see only one whatever-it-is. (Or is that just because I'm squinting at my cell phone?) Seems like an umbrella motif would more likely be an all-over design. (Fish too, come to think of it.)

Umbrella is quite possible IMO.

BTW, looking for those screencaps I realized that Mycroft has LOT of suits. They only look similar. :D

Thanks! It does seem to be an overall design, whatever it is. In upper left photo, it kinda looks like a seagull.

Yep, I see a bird too, now. Swallow?

Bird on an umbrella?

Umbrella bird!

Maybe a magpie? There does seem to be something of a magpie motif already, as has been pointed out both here and elsewhere on the web.

What colours your feathers have? ;)

Once I saw someone's handwriting that looks a lot like that. Of course, her letters were rounder and almost never connecting with each others. But this one looks to be too consistent to be the product of human hand.

There are fonts made from handwriting. I once read about a place where you can make a font of yours.

Just compare the same letters with each other - the o in Hooper and BLOODY, J in Jane and Just, S in 2x Sherlock.  Handwritten letters are never identical.

Cool!  Do you happen to recall the name of the place or anything that might help Google find them?
