Series 4 Rumors

Hmmm. They said season 4 will be devastating. What if Sherlock & John's friendship is destroyed per for some reason Sherlock has to kill Mary?

 

Ugh. You know, I was thinking just last night what would be the worst possible way to kill Mary, and I guess that would be it. Second worst would be some villain forcing John to choose between Mary and Sherlock's life (that would be bad in so many ways. Fortunately, I don't think the writers would stoop that low). 

 

Come to think of it, though, what would he choose if such a situation? I guess he'd probably kill himself or not be able to act at all and then everybody would die while he looked on with "dear in headlights" eyes. Ugh. I really do have to think about something else now. Time to go to work...

 

Maybe Season 4 will reveal the darker side of John, you know? The side that kills to save lives, the bloodthirsty hunter that could run forever on the adrenaline in his veins, the side that hates normal people. We've only seen that side a few times, like when he shot the cabbie and that tiny inkling we got when he looked uncomfortable talking to Mike at the park.

Well, if he didn't, they'd have to change the name of the show to "John."

Dying to get my hands on this issue to find out exactly what Ben says about what Sherlock would do in bed - which I think could be a clue to S4.

Sounds to me like it will be a dissertation on Sherlock's sleeping habits.

They said S4 would be scary, what do Moftiss find scary? I've seldom been scared watching this show, was I supposed to be scared more often? The hound was a bit spooky, I suppose. The pool scene was tense and a bit scary. And of course TRF, although I was more sad than frightened. The bomb in TEH was a bit scary until we found out it wasn't. Sooooo, something more scary than TRF..... it was scary because death and defeat were in the air the whole time. Urk. Didn't they already do that in HLV?

 

If anyone dies, it has to be a non-"canon" character, is that a safe assumption? Unless it's Mary, which somehow doesn't seem right to me, that's too ... predictable. It can't be Mrs. Hudson, England would fall. Oh gawd, it'd better not be Molly................. I nominate Anderson. He could go down in glory, sacrificing himself for Sherlock. Yeah, off Anderson and leave our Molly out of this!

Well, that would certainly be a new direction! Seeing as how the closest thing we've seen to sex so far is Irene cracking her whip. And I didn't mean that to sound as suggestive as it does....

I think what'll really be scary is if we find that John, the happy-go-lucky sidekick, is actually more of a psychopath than even Moriarty, and that he's been manipulating Sherlock by making Sherlock think he's the top dog in their friendship.

Anderson's too -- how do I put this kindly? -- daft and silly to do that. But then again, daftness and silliness makes people sacrifice themselves, I suppose. And it can't be Mary, because we need more BAMF!John and less angst. But I feel that Molly shouldn't die necessarily, just have her health hanging in the balance, y'know?

I think it's just safe to say that we should expect the unexpected. Mary doesn't have to be killed off to die. Lots of shocking and unexpected ways to die - either accident or illness. She could have a very Princess Diana-ish demise trying to outrun someone in the car. Maybe John and the baby are with her and John loses both of them. It can happen in any number of ways. And maybe it nearly kills John too - which would nearly kill Sherlock. I don't think we'll see Sherlock come close to death again. That's been done.

 

They'd better not do anything bad to Molly. Nope. Better not. I will reach through my computer screen and strangle Moffit.

Why do you feel their relationship ship would be meaningless? Just because she isn't self loathing & frumpy, doesn't mean Sherlock wouldn't have her heart. She definitely has his... THEeeeee Woman... They make an excellent couple & she would make him very happy along the way.

 

Then they'd have very ordinary children, one named Hamish after his BFF.

I don't know that I agree with that point about Ms. Adler. I believe that being with Sherlock would replace her need to be a dominatrix. It's a fix for her really. She's okay with danger & she would still be mischievous just like Sherlock.

 

She blackmailed for protection not profit. I don't think she'd have to do that anymore.

According to Mycroft, The Woman wasn't interested in blackmail, not until Moriarty got hold of her. Even she admitted that even with all the information she had on people she didn't have a clue what to do with it, so it doesn't seem like blackmail was up her street at all. And when it became such it backfired big time. So maybe she learned her lesson. Don't try that again.

 

 What would Sherlock do in bed.....hhhmmm.....it would be humorous to see him go through the machinations of plotting the deaths of his friends,...just for mental exercise don't you know.

No, Irene will go back to doing what she always did, and she will go back to use a camera phone for protection.  Moffat has said he isn't bringing her back, but he like to pull our strings so who knows.

Using the camera phone and being a dominatrix of course, I can see that certainly. That was absolutely in her blood. Misbehaving is one thing. Trying blackmail when she was beaten so badly is another.

Sherlock charging to Molly's rescue, yeah, that I'd like to see. Or Molly charging to Sherlock's rescue, for that matter. Poor Molly, she deserves the limelight at least once.

Yeah, but wouldn't most of us go "yeah, whatever"? First they need to build her up into a big hero, have John and Sherlock get all attached and chummy with her, then "bam!" she sacrifices herself to save Sherlock. And Sherlock blames himself. It's VERY important to tear the heart out of the audience when these things happen, y'know.

I suppose the introduction of "The Other One" could be scary depending on how he/she is played. I can see that as being a big baddie and down right troubling seeing how on the side of angles Mycroft and Sherlock are. And if one sibling is very dark and brooding, like Sherlock only more so and devilishly devious and conniving like Mycroft but again...even more so with an evil bent....yeah....I can see it being very dark and scary. Especially if this person is out to destroy Mycroft, Sherlock....or both.
