  1. Except that the meeting with Magnussen appeared to be pre-arranged for Christmas Day, so somehow Sherlock had to be sure Mycroft would even show up for Christmas, let alone decide to bring a laptop full of secrets. But I agree, if Mycroft's in on it, their conversation in the garden makes little sense. Unless there IS someone listening, but I can't see who that could be. 'Tis all very confuzin'.
  2. Here ya go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7fvYsJ1qIg
  3. I am hoping for a dead brother (or sister) too but I feel weird saying that.
  4. OMG, I didn't even think of that. But of course!
  5. There is actually a whole website devoted to answering this question, but alas I can't seem to find it again. Maybe you'll have better luck? Sorry I can't be more help.
  6. Before my time! (And I don't often get to say that!) But I note that you can watch it online. Watched a few minutes, it was fun!
  7. Yup, that's one of the reasons I think he WAS in on it. But they've put enough counter-evidence into the script to make it seem possible he wasn't in on it. Too much for my feeble powers of deduction, I'm afraid.
  8. If ever there was a case of John Watson representing the audience, surely that scene had to be it! I'll bet his reaction was repeating itself in TV rooms around the world......
  9. I'm guessing that was more to attract the viewer's attention than Sherlock's, so we'd understand where the laptop came from. And possibly to tip us off that Mycroft's in on it? If he is....
  10. It's a pleasure to serve.
  11. It'd be funny if Jackson just made him unconcious for most of the battle, the way Tolkien does. I'm looking forward to the demise of Smaug! And I'm dreading the demise of I can't really remember what Bilbo has left to do except the Arkenstone bit, which, I agree, had better be there!
  12. Oh great, now I've got Yoda in my head going "Use the Force, prrrrrecious...."
  13. I've wondered if that whole scene was Mycroft's way of "testing" John to see whether he was a "suitable" companion for Sherlock. And yeah, I'm mystified about the "choose a side" line too.
  14. I've always thought Mycroft was in on it, for the same reason Fox said. Except ... there's that exchange in the garden about Mycroft being glad Sherlock has given up going after CAM.... Sigh. Anyway, I didn't get the impression that Mycroft was that keen on "protecting" CAM as much as he just didn't want little brother interfering. Maybe Sherlock came to Mycroft with a plan to get CAM, so Mycroft decided it was worth a shot? Why fool John? Uhhhh... because John "represents the audience", and it is paramount that the audience be fooled.... ??? Srsly, all I can think is that it's to give John deniability in case things go wrong, but honestly, I'm stumped. The closer you look at this season, the less it makes sense ... and yet I still find it thoroughly enjoyable.
  15. Shocking, no. But even in sitcoms and soaps, it's still not a nice thing to use people the way Sherlock was using Janine. So in his own funny way, maybe he was being chivalrous; he'd lead her on, but not use her sexually. Or, what Carol said....
  16. I thought it was because Sherlock looked scuzzy enough pretending to be in love with Janine -- simply to get to her boss -- he would have been even more of a bastard if he'd slept with her too.
  17. What, me worry? Looking forward to it, whatever they call it.
  18. Taxi Driver A racehorse.
  19. You people, I love the way your minds work!
  20. That's the best response I've ever seen on this subject.
  21. Welcome back! Long time no see! Since I already dress and act like Molly, I'll be her. :-) People will stop and stare.
