Forgiveness is very powerful. It can motivate change & besides giving your life, there's no other act that shows true love. Withholding forgiveness is the best form of revenge. The unforgiven carries a constant weight that can only be lifted by forgiveness. So cudos to Sherlock.

Also the whole Mary not shooting Magnussen thing. I think that was doing her character a favor. She was running from that past life, she wants to be a good mother & wife. So it was nice she didn't shoot him.

Exactly he was initially attracted to her. I think he even liked the idea of her & Sherlock getting together. Hamish... If you're looking for baby names. The slight smile on his face when she sneaks into Shirls bed. Couldn't of disliked her that much.

I think its the latter. You feeling that way on John's behalf. He tried to take " Althea " out on a date, & she wouldn't give him her real name, and for all he knew @ the time, in his mind anyway, that she was the assistant of a master criminal mind who was Sherlock's ultimate enemy. The man obviously will get it if he can. Weather he's rejected or put in danger by some chic. He's a very silly man when it comes to women, until something tragic happens obviously. Well wait...
