Moffat said, "We've had what we're going to do with Moriarty in place from before the second season. Exactly what we're going to do. I remember talking it through with Andrew Scott, who plays Moriarty. Wait and see what's going to happen." Mark Gatiss also joked about asking Thor's Tom Hiddleston to play the third Holmes brother in the upcoming season. Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Gatiss and Tom Hiddleston would make an impressive trio.

    How is it illogical? & you do like it, based off your favorite episodes. You just keep comparing their laws to real life. I know you're a Sherlock fanatic, just like the rest of us. Don't go trying to deny it now.

    Before we got way off topic Arcadia had brought up that John referred to Sherlock as mate before TSO3. Carol responded with exact # of times John referred to Sherlock as mate, but then pointed out that John had only said it directly to Sherlock twice in TSO3.

    You know. I don't know if the writers are trying to match the laws of London as they are. I don't know that they are trying to match any laws but the laws that they have for their Sherlock world. Apparently people around the world like the government that has been created by Mark & Steve, so....

    No, no, no, I like the shirts! With the fabric straining across the chest and the buttons gaping, it looks as if Sherlock is quite literally about to burst with pride and I think that is hilarious. If Sherlock is anything like the original Mr Holmes, he cares hugely about people appreciating his brilliance. Dr Watson remarks somewhere in the story that Holmes was more vain about his art than any beauty could have been about her looks. He doesn't care whether people think if what he does is proper or not, and he doesn't need to be liked, but he desperately needs to be admired. Spreading the rumor that his genius is a fake is about the worst thing you could do to him - trust Moriarty to figure that out. I agree Toby. His shirts fit perfectly. Now there was that scene in TEH, when Mycroft was getting his brother dressed & they put on his suit Jacket. I think he was still buff from having to gain 30 pounds for his role as khan. Look like he was going to split that Jacket in two. He could hardly put his arms down.

    We are Soooooo off topic... I believe we stopped @ Sherlock being surprised to be Johns best man! Their reactions to it & John calling Sherlock mate - directly - for the 1st time in TSO3. ok - Action!

    Right! Yeah, I think we're having as much fun, MORE actually than what the writers expected. Its the return to good ole fashioned story telling. Love it!
