Not sure where the best place for this is, but since it's taken from one of my favorite shots in the series I'm putting it here!

 

We had a street painting competition yesterday, near where I live. I thought you lot might enjoy seeing my entry:

 

I mostly did it as an in-joke, to see how many people would realize what it was. Most people were clueless but several of the 20-somethings that walked by got it, and a few of the 10-somethings. A lot of them guessed it was Dr. Who at first.

 

Alas it didn't win (a space octopus did) but I had lots of nice comments. And a couple of people seriously wanted me to come paint their driveways... !?!!?! If they hadn't assumed I would do it for free, I might've......

 

Wow -- ever so cool, Arcadia!  Hey, I would have gotten it -- but would probably have smudged it when my jaw dropped.  Don't tend to see Sherlock references out and about where I live.

I do that with some of my paintings as well Arcadia. I'm trying to get 2 paintings done this week. 1 of them is a re-do from something I quickly tossed together last year.

Oh yeah, the body is language is there between them for sure. She is turned towards him as he is towards her. Her head is also tilted towards him.

I agree, that last one is stunning.  Someone took a pic of Benedict on the red carpet for TIG at the London Film Festival & had it as a black & white.  It was amazing.

There are certain effects that are just killed by a color photo.  B&W can be much crisper, for one thing.

I've been feeling a little guilty for neglecting John lately (but Sherlock's just so pretty!!) so here's some nice ones I've found. I like how they often surround him with soft, warm neutrals, it adds a hint of contemplation to his character.
