Thanks for breaking us out of mammal-centric mode, Martina -- though a "furry" moth may not be all that much of a break-out!

 

According to Wikipedia, the poodle moth is a recently-discovered (2009) native of Venezuela.

Okay, have a non-furry invertebrate for Tuesday then : The Dumbo Octopus (nickname, actual name Grimpoteuthis).

I hope you own stock in Google, Martina!  I had to look up that cute little furry fellow.  Oddly enough, even though they are indeed a canid species, I think they look more like bears.

I'd never heard of a binturong, Martina, but Wikipedia says it's also called a bearcat -- so now I know where the old Stutz Bearcat sports car (made here in Indiana!) got its name.
