I guess the position of the neck would make singing rather hard, wouldn't it? Someone more musical then me (read: everybody) test this and report back to us .

Meanwhile, have you ever seen such a happy looking dog?

It has occurred to me though.....I don't think I have ever...ever....seen anyone sing while playing the violin.

That's what makes this particular cat so talented!

Caya, I'm not sure if he's happy, or dead! Although I suppose that IS a dog's idea of dying and going to heaven... :D

Nah, Boss isn't dead, he's just exuberant .

Musta been an awful hot day to lead him into that mud puddle to cool off.  (Like a pig.  I've heard that they're really clean animals, but need to wet their skin to stay cool -- so if the only moisture around is a patch of mud....)

According to the description at imgur, that is a baby coyote saved from wildfire.

Awww, poor little guy. And look at those big puppy dog eyes!

When I was a kid I was led to believe that coyotes were dirty and ugly. But after seeing one in person, I realized they are quite beautiful.

But of course, SOME of them are evil. Here's an otter chasing Moricoyote.

I suspect that just about any animal is beautiful if it's healthy and happy. Unfortunately, some coyotes are living a kind of marginal existence due to recent expansion of human settlements, and may not have sufficient territory for food, shelter, etc. -- that may be where their "ugly" reputation came from.   But I believe they have also expanded into new areas, where there were no coyotes when I was  a kid.  So they're apparently a resilient species, and I expect they will adapt.  (They certainly keep the rabbits from going Australian on us.)

And bold as brass. Was driving home one early morning and had to slow down to make a very sharp turn.....one dances right up to my side window. Good thing the window was up....looked friendly enough....but still...... a wild animal and they do tend to travel in packs.

They do tend to be out and about at dawn and dusk, from what I've seen.  I certainly wouldn't trust a coyote that seemed friendly -- that's a possible symptom of rabies.  Or it could be a coyote that someone (illegally) raised as a pet.  Or maybe he just thought you looked tasty!

I've heard that the coyotes around here sometimes run in packs, which is something new -- possibly due to interbreeding with dogs?  In any case, it means they can more easily take down larger game such as deer.

Here in the Northeast they are seldom solitary animals. When you hear them at night there is always more then one or two.

I've only ever seen one at a time, but that doesn't mean anything. Fearless, they look right at you and just keep moseying along. A thrill to see wild animals but that's one of many reasons my poor cat is forced to stay inside a night.
