I've checked on Amazon and they are available to buy. They're $11.00 on US Amazon :D

This one came up in my search for "shock blanket" -- it is, as you said, only $11.99 -- however several reviewers said it was flimsy and the color was not as pictured, and it got only 3 1/2 stars average for 30 reviews (but on a more positive note, it also comes in lilac for the bridesmaids):

"Customers who bought this item also bought" this blanket for only a couple bucks more.  It also comes in orange, and 121 reviewers gave it an average of 4 1/2 stars (they also thought this one's orange was much nicer):

Neither of these is actually sold as a "shock blanket" (though as I mentioned, it did come up on my "shock blanket" search) but either could easily serve as a Sherlock-oriented throw for a bed or sofa (neither is a full-sized blanket).  Amazon also sells a number of other fleece blankets that come in orange.

I haven't bought any exact thing he wore but his wardrobe had great influence on my style.

And I noticed that when I dress up 'to be like Him' I get more attention and even some compliments, what never happens when I wear my usual clothes.

If you're seeing Greenwich Mean Time on your posts, jesskayding, you can fix it by clicking on your user name at the top of any forum page, then choose "My Settings" from the drop-down menu.  When that page comes up, click to get the drop-down menu for Time Zone, and (in your case) select "(GMT - 5:00 hours) Eastern Time" -- also select "Automatically detect when my timezone is in DST."  Change anything else you'd like to change while you're there, and then scroll down and click "Save Changes."

P.S.:  For those of you who don't live in the US, "DST" stands for the silly phrase "Daylight Saving Time" (which you probably call "Summer Time").

P.P.S.:  Once you set your time zone, you'll see everybody's posting times as the time it was in YOUR time zone when they posted.

I would love to have a Belstaff Millford coat like he wears, but at nearly £1250, it's not just a bit out of my price range, it is entirely out of my budget.  That's more than two months' rent for a friggin' coat.  But I love it!  I'm not sure it's in production anymore, but you can get a cosplay knock-off on Ebay for under $200.  I know Belstaff put it out of production before SHERLOCK and then put it back into production because of the high demand for it from the series.

If anyone has any information on its current availability, please post it here.

Not sure because of Sherlock, but may have been given the idea subconsciously by him, as in, with the studying of old military photos in books, it was not always clear to make out certain items, therefore purchased two magnifying glasses.

On one occasion, helped me identify an object in such an image which no others had seen, so even with just that success, it was a worthwhile item to obtain. Useful for old maps and writing too.

I actually usually tie my scarf like Sherlock does, even before I realized it (and I am female). I am also pretty tall and have a long coat like that with a collar, but I realize that Sherlock usually wears his coat unbuttoned? I don't know if I will be able to pull that off.

Okay I've decided I'm definitely getting a plaid blue scarf. Yes his scarf is plaid, just noticed it upon rewatch of TEH.

Interesting that they seem to have gone (judging by the thread I linked to above) from plain blue (no stripes) to striped blue (stripes in one direction) to blue plaid (stripes in two directions).  What will they give him for Series 4 -- plaid with diagonal stripes added?

Meant to add, that although I purchased a bronze effect 'Lady Justice' figurine for my mantlepiece mainly due to my interest in the law, I am convinced I also saw such a figurine at Baker Street in a Sherlock Holmes tv episode or film.

Unfortunately, not having traced in which I'm sure it appeared.

Please can anyone confirm such an ornament is present and in what episode/film ?

I can't offhand think of any Holmes adaptation where there's a Justice figurine in his flat.

However, you may be thinking of the closeup of the gold Justice figure atop the Old Bailey's dome, in "Reichenbach."

Thanks. That may be it.

Sherlock, like myself, liked pursuing the truth (and justice) and I don't think a Lady Justice figurine would have been out of place in his lodgings.

Have you looked at videos taken by fans visiting the two Sherlock Holmes museums in London?  A couple take a slow pan around the room taking in almost everything within the rooms.

I've been unsuccessful in tracing said episode/film where the Lady Justice figurine is shown at Baker Street.

I'm of the thinking it might have been in the study or building of either a client or organisation he visited.

Additionally, I did acquire a pocket watch depicting a hunting scene, which I thought quite apt, though needing to replace the broken watch-chain.

Was Sherlock known to have a pocket watch in his possession in all depictions of him on screen ?

I do have a cluedo game in my possession, but not yet chosen to secure it to a wall anywhere in my house, as seen in Sherlock.

A monocle ?

The sort you usually see worn by a toff or military officer, etc. ?
