Clue: I took the picture, but I am not Sherlock, Mycroft, Mary, Lestrade, Moriarty, Magnussen or Irene Adler.

Okay, then, in that case, may I just say that your clue, er, stinks? :p

Prison. (Because of the razor wire.)

Nope. Nope.

Hahaha... but it's valid clue! :P

Okay.. more clue.. aphrodite is right about beach, but beach is on my side.

Reposting the image so it's easier to study.

Okay, we're on the beach looking inland. On the other sige of the security fence there appears to be a building; it looks far away, so I'm guessing a large compound of some kind. Looks like a palm tree on the left, but I sort of doubt that's relevant (?) Dozens of bucket-shaped blocks of concrete in front of the fence, some with hooks, which imply they are picked up and moved. As weights? Or just to get them out of the way?

So, are the concrete blocks extra protection to make sure someone doesn't break through the fence? Looks like the people behind the fence are very security conscious. Or, whatever's inside the fence is very dangerous, they don't want anyone getting into it by accident. Sooooo, add it all up and .... I got nuthin'.

So I'll just revert to wild guessing. Because I just yawned, I get three guesses.

American embassy compound?

Airport?

Munitions factory?

Hmm..hmmm...TOET TOET...

My first clue indicates that I am standing at public area since I don't have the skill or authority to be on the other side like those people I mentioned.

So, the other side is restricted. But it's possible to get very close to the fence. The fence is a barrier but it's still just fence and wire, so the security level is not as crucial as something like prison, but enough to deter common intruders.

The concrete things, you are right. They are positioned there purposely. It's some kind of wave breaker, to protect it from abrasion from the sea.

There is nothing on the other side, no building, it's just located on higher ground.

What is more likely to be located next to the sea no building, secured but not extreme, where public is not allowed to get close but able to view it?

Yes.. It's landing/boarding strip of an airport.

Well done!!!

Hey, John could flash his army badge and be on the other side in no time!

I have one of these. Where do I keep it?

Balance of probability leans to Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers not being recognised there. :P

Where do you keep it, or where do you use it?

I just assume use, because how on earth would I know where you keep it? It could be hidden between the fur of the cat earlier. XD Wait..

I had a very long day and good sunburn, so excuse me for blabbering.

This is a  small object, I would guess the whole cat is around or less than an inch, and made of metal.

There are three reasonable usage:

-Hang on the phone. People do that, but not you I believe. It would scratch the phone and it's unnecessary  dangling object, not very practical. So no.

-Hang on the bag is another possible usage. However, this is made of metal and usually comes with something inside, so the whole cat would make noise like a bell. I don't see you go around ringing like a wind chime. So no.

-As a keychain. This is more likely. Easier to find the key and not bulky. The cat looks quite new though, no scratches, but maybe the quality of paint is good.

I go with this guess.

Wait, I get two guesses, because you have cat/s. XD

You put it in one of your cat's collar. Those kitties are so stealthy it's probably good for helping to locate them.

Cat on a cat, nice touch this. Like meeting Moriarty at midnight in Carl Power's pool. (Random Moriarty comment, told you I'm not thinking right) :P

I think the keychain is the best option the material that the chain is made out of looks like it would be a chotchsky of some sort and the only logical chotchsky it could be is for a keychain on a purse

Ps: don't know if I'm right kind of just trying out this science of deduction thing

It almost looks like a decorative zipper pull instead of a key chain. My thought is it would be attached to a backpack or computer case on 1 of the zippers if it was on something that gets used.

One of those answers is the right one. It is not a keychain.

So does it get attached to the zipper of a backpack?

Posted

NoooPe. Although it could be used like that. But I don't.

Does it get attached to the cat collar?

Getting warmer, but nope. :p

Attached to a dog collar?
