All that gold leaf (is it gold leaf?) .... Okay, it's not Buddhist, but is it religious? Or something to do with royalty?

 

The fact that it's high off the ground ... does that have something to do with it's function?

 

I have to admit what the shape suggests to me is a coffin or sarcophagus, but I can't figure out why one of those would be on stilts!

This is a water tank for storage. The pump brings up the water, from the tank it's distributed by gravity. When it reaches certain level of height, the pump will fill it up again. Some maintenance might be needed therefore there is an access..it's located high up to maximize the flow, can be seen from the electrical poles and top of the tree, it's four storey high.

 

It's very decorative, I believe, to match the facility it serves, the most sacred Pagoda in Myanmar.

Hmm... I don't see any way to get into it. Nesting place for large birds? Oh, wait ... that might be a ladder on the back. Ummmm..... normally I would think it would be on stilts like that to protect it from floods, but it looks too high for that.

 

Is the hole there on purpose? To look in, or go in, or to poke something out of?

Nope. But the pagoda, Shwedagon Paya is 99meter gold platted with diamond studded spire, visible from almost everywhere in the city especially at night. I remember because I got lost wandering on the first night of my visit. :P

This is side view, not top (I was squinting at my phone, so my first attempt on dead birds is ridiculous unless it is Spiderman bird waiting for pizza delivery).

 

Side view, from the angle of the snow drop and the way it cover the object. Is side view correct?

 

Based on the size, this is quite a big thing. But it‘s very odd and funny looking, from the layered shape and what seems like circular shape on further end. There is some kind of opening, some kind of awning? Why is it like that?

Some kind of vehicle? Commercial vehicle shaped funny for certain merchandizes?

What are the red things? The shapes are weird and positionings are even weirder. Is it some kind of light?

 

If I'm making no sense, my excuse is sleep deprivation. Very. :p
