Another "What it says on the tin thread." Who's music do you adore, who can't you go a couple of days without listening to?

A few of my faves:

Van Halen

Rush

Chickenfoot

Iron Maiden

Frank Zappa

Aimee Mann

Queen

Metallica (The 80s stuff and their last album "Death Magnetic" mainly, they kind of lost me a little around the "Load/Re-Load" era)

My favourite artists remain in a state of flux and vary hugely in style, so read Favourite as "Favourite at the moment"

Oh! I think I'll live in this topic! I listen to different music, but it's mostly pop, pop-rock or just rock.

Tokio Hotel, Lafee, Fleur, Automatic Loveletter, Hollywood Undead, Paramore, Natalia Kills, Rammstien, La Roux, Depeche Mode

but this is at this moment, of course. My music taste changes constantly.

Ahm... How long can I make the list? :) See, the thing with me is that "favourite bands" changes quite a lot from one day to the next. There are the bands/singers/songwriters that I always end up listening to again (Queen, U2, Ismael Serrano, Beatles). There are the genres/artists I always listen to (mostly soundtracks, cos they are good to work to, and Mike Oldfield). Then there are the bands that fit a specific mood (The Cure, Placebo). And then there are the bands I'm listening to at the moment (Mumford and sons, Blue Gillespie, Ghost of the Robot).

And there there is the stuff I will not even admit I have on my iPhone. Which we shall not discuss. :D

My #1 obsession at the moment is a band called Obsessive Compulsive - I follow them all round the north west when I can. Funnily enough I discovered them when they supported Blue Gillespie one time. Have a link to one of their tracks - www.youtube.com/watch?v=vp7V5tbcYs8

I like all sorts of bands and artists though I do identify as 'alt' in my music taste in general (I'd say 'goth' but I don't just like goth!)

The bands I'm currently ,listening to the most are:-

Pro-jekt

(no longer around but have a link - www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGSfAfDuvXM)

Crüxshadows

*looks at list of bands she's been to see with EvigMidnat*

Very true.

I think Seth Lakeman is the only male person/band we've seen together that wasn't my idea! William Control doesn't count so much as I was going to the gig to see Obsessive Compulsive (who are female fronted).

I have a very eclectic taste in music.

In my book good music is good music regardless of genré. But I seem to be a little more fond of rock than any other.

The Clash, Nirvana, Metallica, Joan Jett gets me going.

As do modern club-music, like dub-step. Gives me goosebumps!

But some days I just like to relax to something soft like Portishead or Massive attac.

But above all others I have one IDOL and that is Dvid Bowie. I think he is the biggest musical genious of our lifetime. :inlove:

Eclectic is the word - Sisters of Mercy, BeeGees, Led Zep *and* Lady Gaga? You beat my eclecticness into the ground (hate Lady Gaga's music with a vengeance and really not keen on the Zeps either or opera). I do own stuff by Kate Bush, Clannad, Marillion, Queen, Blue Gillespie and the Sisters though, they just aren't in my most listened to list.

I don't have the best taste in music.

But I'll listen to pretty much anything.

My favourite of all time is probably Johnny Cash. Ah man, I love that man's voice!

I'd also recommend The Goo Goo Dolls, Mumford and Sons, Less Than Jake and I have a huge thing for One Direction!

I feel that I must once more wax euphoric about the new Van Halen album... It's great! :D

I don't know about all of these loud bands the young ones seem to like, but I do like a bit of Frank Sinatra. Sherlock hates me playing it, he says he can't think, honestly you'd think he were my landlord at times...

I like pretty much anything but the Bee-Gees, for some reason I've totally gone off them recently!
