The Johnlock Conspiracy
Shadow Dweller replied to Pseudonym's topic in BBC Sherlock General Discussion.
*grins* Bromance all the way for John & Sherlock. After TFP my not so innocent fan-heart think that mystrade have more potential to be a reality off the screen than johnlock. -
While Trump and cohorts are playing with Syria there's another hot spot where confrontation with Hezbollah might explode in the near future. Today or tomorrow too, depends on which time region you are, a Russian frigate is to arrive on Mediterranean for joint naval exercise with the Turkish. That ship carries Kalibr-NK missiles. ISIS is right on their latest video release when calling Trump as an idiot.

Syria is a hub between Asia, Africa and Europe, add that with the presence of natural gas and oil pipelines, you'll get the picture why USA and allies keep meddling in that area. That one is the heart of the middle east region in that aspect. Imagine. this, per barrel oil transported by ship or train is between 10-15 $ while with the pipelines it is only around 5$. That's only one of the main reasons why Assad have to go. It is a proxy war reminiscent of the cold war.

Do dreaming of dancing and twirling on the air in a room that looks like the place the Crown Jewels were kept with the background of Rossini's The Thieving Magpie count? -
Try saying the same line repeatedly but each time with different intention in mind, then give the recording to other people to interpret. We are not even talking about how each interpreter's mindset would perceive the same line with same tone yet, lol.

That's straightforward in my eyes, meaning he thought that it is good the two boys (yes boys) were entertaining each other, it would lessen the chance of two separate source of troubles instead of one.

Not so much on the choice of words and phrases but the whole way of voicing displeasure and to translate what he intend to do to verbal. I also see tendency of fanfic writers to use overly complicated style of talking with Mycroft. They employed that style for 99% situation where he talk. In the series most of his dialogues are straightforward and rarely use 'complicated' words and phrases. Were they got caught in the portrayal of sophisticated man according to period dramas or did they read way too many classic novels with Victorian-Edwardian gentleman in it and it formed their preconceptions of how sophisticated men should sound?

According to stats females made the biggest portion of fanfic writers on this fandom. In RL, passive-aggressive often are their choice of method to communicate displeasure (default mode). I am wondering if their own preference / habit actually shaped the character's or is it actually an aspect that he have but I missed to notice. The case of A Study in Fanfic Writers' Writing Tendency.

I really have way too much time in my hands today, hence the fanfic-reading marathon. One thing makes me wonder; 1. Is sarcasm counts as passive-aggressive technique? 2. Except to Sherlock and Mummy, when and to who Mycroft used that?

*giggles* Someone please teach Sherlock how to tame his blogger's tendency for physical violence as way to resolve problems between them. That's why JohnLock is not to be in my eyes.

The frightened mouse or the vixen, which one and why? -
*grins* You are heart and I am mind in this aspect. Chalk the perspectives to our different temperaments.

@bedelia: And still she showed that attitude when Sherlock is going to John's house, the scene where Molly carried Rosie while talking to Sherlock. A 'victim' attitude do tends to incite urge for violence in certain people. @Arcadia: Irene or Janine?
