Thank you for posting this. Unfortunately I cannot figure out what Sherlock says at the end. Can someone help me? :)

I think he says "black" but I'm not sure. I hope that someone with better English will help us :)

'Blood' or 'Blud'. And is that the lovely 'Anthea' from the first episode?

Thanks, I watched it once more and it really sounded like "blood" this time. By the way... what is "Blud"?

And yes, I think it really is 'Anthea' :)

????? No idea what happened there. Was supposed to be just a link.

Agreed. It sounds like blood to me; but someone on twitter was saying Gatiss confirmed it was 'blud'; which is slang in the UK for brother, or more accutately a close friend.

Thanks again. In that case "blud" makes a lot more sense than "blood".

Thank you! From the context I also thought he said something like 'brother', but it sounded so different! :) Well, I've learned a new word today. :D

Thanks for that! I had also seen that it was supposed to be "blud", but the only thing I turned up in a search was "a Slavic mythological evil deity that causes disorientation and leads a person aimlessly around and around". That, and something about an illicit fornication. Either of which seemed pretty harsh coming from Sherlock at that particular moment! LOL

Here are a few more pictures. No idea where they originally appeared, but the following link offers a good viewing option:

I particularly like this one:

Can't wait to hear what John is so amused at...

Maybe Sherlock is doing deduction of a wedding guest and John is thinking: "God, here we go again. On my wedding day. Great." :D

Or:

"Oh god, now I have to put up and shut up no matter what he says because I had to ask the great bloody git to be my best man."

It's nice to see that people are still posting notes on that phone booth!

Beth, my fellow Hoosier!  Great to see you back!

Those of you who were around for season 2... do you remember how quickly the season was added to Netflix after the season aired? If the dvds come out that quickly, it could mean season 3 is on Netflix as early as late February... then again, Netflix is often hit-or-miss with this stuff, so it could end up being much later.

I'm thinking of just buying the dvds, anyway, since they're so cheap. Might be some nice behind-the-scenes stuff on them.

Each DVD set so far has had audio commentaries on two of the episodes, plus a roughly half-hour documentary.  The Series 1 DVD also had the unaired pilot.

I assume / hope that the Series 3 DVDs will include "Many Happy Returns" and the red-herring scenes.

Thanks for that, shoot999!

  • Includes three behind-the-scenes featurettes:
    • "The Fall"
    • "Fans, Villains & Speculation: The Legacy of Sherlock Holmes"
    • "Shooting Sherlock"

Since they say "includes," there could be other things as well (like the usual commentaries).

Sherlockology has posted their spoiler-free (unless you've been living in a cave) review of Episode 2, "The Sign of Three."  Far too many quotable bits to post here, so just read it!  Added:  That's the correct link now!
