Is no one going to discuss that amazing Finland trailer?

Scandinavian? Off to find!  :D  :D  :D

I have no idea what it was. It was odd. Maybe it was Finnish? Don't know the language, so I wouldn't recognize it if I saw it, my impression was just "must be some scandinavian tongue". I didn't do anything but google "The Emtpy Hearse" and it was about the fifth link or so. Very weird. At first I thought it was fan made, but then I realized I hadn't seen any of those scenes before and Anderson had a beard. Didn't quite know what to make of it.

Ah, then it's quite possible you're talking about the Finnish one that aired recently. For a second, I thought there was another one.

Also, I thought originally the Many Happy Returns thing was set to air on Christmas day (along with Doctor Who), but I saw something earlier that said it was going to air on Christmas Eve.

And OMG, I just found these... :sherlock2:

For clarification, does that mean we can't discuss the trailer in the forum now that it's been removed?

Well, I certainly didn't find it through any extraordinary means. Didn't see any real spoilers in it - actually, it gave away less than the BBC launch trailer and certainly not more than their promotional images. I just found it a lot more confusing.

Agreed! Nothing in it blew my mind, just kind of made me think,"Well, where does that fit in?"

ETA: By the way, T.o.b.y, look what I found:

There is also a volume I for the same price. Christmas gift to myself, I'm thinking. Terrific price! :)

Yes!  I just hope we can access it from the US.  :)

I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't avoid the forum altogether between the 1st and the 19th, or rather Feb. 2.  I know spoilers will be in spoiler boxes (which I don't know how to do yet in posts), but I can't imagine trying to read something with those spotted all over without reading them.

Yes, I might do that.  Otherwise, it would be agony.  Knowing y'all know what I don't know!  I'll use the time to memorize every iota of the other six.  But I'll be around til the 1st!

Anyone who wants to discuss a new episode after they've seen it must post in the new Series 3 section.  That would also apply to anyone who's heard about the new episodes from someone who's seen them.  This should mean that there will be no spoilers (or at least no more than there have been lately) in the other areas.  The staff will be checking the forum for anything posted in the wrong place.

There are no guarantees, of course.  If someone happens to post in the wrong place, and you happen to see it before a staff member does, then you're spoilt.  But that should be a fairly rare occurrence.

In any case, it's up to you.  :)

There are several new posts on John's blog: http://johnwatsonblog.co.uk

Oh, cool!  Looks like there are a whole new bunch of people leaving comments -- and theimprobableone is back.

Does anyone recognize these cases as disguised canon?  One of the titles is a takeoff on Agatha Christie, but that may be just John's sense of humor....

I see.  I was also just reading over in the Help area about a Spoiler sub-forum.  So with all this, I might rethink my position.  I have so much catching up to do.  Thanks, Carol.

Discussing trailers and the mini episode are perfectly fine within the relevant forum areas. Just not discussing means of circumventing any regional restrictions the BBC may have in place for the streaming of their video content to different geographical locations.

I will be creating a series 3 sub-forum very soon.

Edit: The series 3 sub-forum is now up, the episode rating threads will be unlocked in turn on the episodes' individual UK air dates.

Not Long Now! :D

It'll probably get uploaded on Youtube and the official website straight away

Oh, I do hope so!

I expect you're right -- should be interesting!

It occurs to me that when Series 2 was being aired, I believe John's new blogs were posted right along with each episode.  If they do that this time, they're likely to be spoilers, so we'd better restrict discussion of those future blog entries to the Series 3 sub-forum.

I've moved the recent discussion of the mini-episode to the existing thread on that subject, here.

Good idea  :) We don't want to see John posting spoilers!

As always, thank you for the links. This series has really reduced me to the squealing teenager I never was... Thank goodness nobody could see me when watching these.

And... was that just me or does it really look like John might be having some kind of a bachelor party?

Thank you for posting this. Unfortunately I cannot figure out what Sherlock says at the end. Can someone help me? :)
