I would have newer known that without help... I thought they were supposed to be easy. Or maybe I just suck.

I'm new here by the way, so hello.

Hello Crazypplz and welcome to the forum!

If it's any consolation, those anagrams are fiendishly hard imho. "Easy" and "Hard"? More like "Bloody Difficult" and "Impossible" if you ask me :P.

Hi Crazy! Sounds  like you'll fit right in! :-)

I am so glad that we kept this topic going. I'd be lost without the wisdom and guidance displayed here  - well, I wouldn't have a new picture every month as my desktop!

Thanks Caya x

I know! They are so hard. I only figured out the March one because of the February one.

As I recall, they used to be easier.  But I suppose they've used up most of the really obvious ones by now.

Would anyone be interested in us doing Sherlock anagrams for each other?  For example, here's a really easy one (probably too easy):

BERET TAKERS

Baker Street?

Think I'll start a new thread, then.  'Scuse me while I go set it up ....

Sherlockoly has finally put up the May calendar (and it's a lovely one) http://www.sherlockology.com/share/2014-calendar

Clues to the easy anagram:

It's a name

of the actor

who plays our favorite detective

Not that one, the other one. The one with DI in front of his name.

But damn -- they're no longer showing a muddled version of the photo?  That was sometimes helpful.

The muddled picture is back!  Yay!

Posted

Muddled is right, I couldn't make heads or tails of it! :)

Posted

Well, at least it narrows things down a bit.  Doesn't look like a daytime-outdoors shot, or the inside of Buckingham Palace, for example.

I can't see a picture. Is it on the Sherlockology site?

Posted

OOH! I did it!

Here's a clue....

It's another actor's name

And if you're still stumped it's....

Rupert Graves

If you mean the pixelated photo, sorry, should have posted it.  It's on Sherlockology's Tumblr announcement.

And here's the photo:

Well actually it's been out for a while I just haven't been able to crack the anagram, but now I have.

Btw this is for the hard anagram

Clue 1:

it is an image of Mycroft- I thought it was Magnussen originally, that's why I was having so much trouble

Clue 2:

it is a line that he says in a Scandal in Belgravia

Clue 3:

it is a line he says to Sherlock on the plane

Answer:

give him a puzzle and watch him dance
