Maybe his zone is in a more remote location than yours?

I enjoyed it too at first but it's weird, all the comments commenting on the comments. Very very funny though, at least at first. I got bored and wandered off after a while, I'm afraid.....

After a bit, I mostly just skimmed through everything except his answers (indicated by the handy little blue logo).  Some of the other questions (and non-Gatiss answers) were also interesting, though.

But you do realize the implications?

Moffat is writing the cliffhanger.   :o   Again.

As long as it gets written I don't care if the author is Jack the Ripper. Write faster, Moftiss!

That link seems to have become unlinked.  Can you find the tweet and try again?  Or has the tweet been deleted?

I have a theater playing it near me the end of November, but my budget won't allow it :'(

Premise: if Mr Gatiss is writing the first episode ( culled from God knows which ACD stories), and Mr Moffat is writing the third, will it be that Thompson person for the second one again, or can I hope for a more imaginative writer with more Sherlockian savvy?

Dear SherlockedCamper, at least you have a choice! They aren't coming anywhere near, because Coriolanus is my favourite of all, and I would even go alone if I had the chance!

Steve Thompson wrote "The Reichenbach Fall," so he's more than fine in my book.  My suspicion is that the Moftisses map out the basic plots of all three episodes, decide which one each of them will write, then assign Thompson to do the other one -- so we really can't blame him for the plot (or lack thereof), and even "Blind Banker" has some really nice scenes that presumably came from the mind of Thompson.

They said they would write the new episodes together.

I recall them saying they had written the Special together, but they seemed to consider that unusual.  And Mr. Gatiss did just say that he's writing the first episode of Series 4, so I've been assuming that they're going back to one episode per writer.  Did I miss something?

Mark Gatiss is a woman? Why did no one tell me this before? How embarrassing!

:p

I could swear I've heard them saying they wanted to try writing together for a change. Don't ask me where...

I could swear the same thing,  but I don't remember where either. Some time during and/or after the filming of the special, I presume?

As long as it is the two creators, they can do whatever they like, it's their mega-fan-fiction! However, I could never view Thompson's contributions as positive: TBB seems to be an alien body in S1, TRF is a major disaster in S2, because the whole thing at the end tried to deal with the Final Problem in such a callow way that Mr Gatiss had to over-write so much of it in TEH, and his contribution to SoT is not immediately apparent to the point of being negligible. If there's any justice in the Sherlock Holmes universe, please let him NOT be involved this time round!

Might they have been talking about writing the Special together?

Arcadia, Mark Gatiss is indeed a woman!  At times...
