Is anyone seeing that?  All I get is the little box that means I don't get to see the actual image.  But judging by Google, it's apparently some sort of smiley.

Yup..sorry.. just realized that but for some reason I can't edit or delete or change it, so I hide it.

In word: it's a big smile for J.P. :)

Edit: Even in the quote, it says: you are not allowed to use that image extension on this community. And I used that before with no problem. It's just one of those days I guess.

It's a GIF, right?  That should be no problem.

Google points out that you may have misspelled the URL (perhaps should be "pic4ever" instead of "[ic4ever"), but modifying that doesn't seem to help.  Maybe whoever posted that image has taken it down?

I have unhidden your post, just in case someone can figure out what's going on.

There is a very nice interview with Mark at PBS.

He talks a bit about TAB, but also other episodes and shares a bit about TSOT, that I haven't known.

I also had to smile as he quoted O. Wilde in his last sentence - I have sent this quotation to Mark as we were celebrating 5 years of Sherlock. It's very possible that he knew it before though - Mofftiss write the whole series after this motto :P

Thanks!  Well, he talks as though he thinks Mycroft really was drugged in HLV.

I had to Google the Oscar Wilde quote to get the second half ("I hope it will last," or various phrasings to that effect).

So you and Mark Gatiss were celebrating -- and you didn't invite the rest of us?!!  :P

I used that phrase just yesterday. But I always attributed it to Willy Wonka. :D

Google agrees with you.  But since the book (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) was published in 1964, a nice even 64 years after the death of Oscar Wilde, I'm gonna guess that Mr. Wonka did not originate the saying!

Dear J.P. , my compliments to your secret admirer, and he should consider himself lucky that the Sherlock Holmes Society has not yet revoked his membership! Honestly, out of 56 stories and four (potboiler) novels by ACD, he and his partner in cultural crime have fixated on less than eight short stories; namely A Scandal in Bohemia, The Bruce-Partington Plans, The Five Orange Pips, The Dancing Men, The Final Problem, The Empty House, Charles Augustus Milverton and parts of The Illustrious Client, The Second Stain, the Blanched Soldier.

Forsooth! If he were in the good old Wild West, they would probably have tarred and feathered him before running him out of town for transforming the most independent, self-sufficient arrogant so-and-so in crime fiction into a needy junkie ( drama queen, damsel in distress: take your pick!) who cannot survive in the real world and keep his wits about him without his carers, as if he were a mental case.

Like the one Mr Gatiss has made of Sherlock Holmes? (Puppet, I mean!)

No no no no..

You should say Not at all.

Nevermind..

:blanket: I am way too obsessed, am I?

(Can't blame caffeine this time because I haven't had any today)

Blame the lack of caffeine

Right. That works.

But I have to admit that I blame you a tiny bit.

I thought we are in this obsession together.

Caffeine or lack of it, I deduce headache links to lack of sleep. Ridiculous human physiology. What is the fun with that??
