Ben Whishaw is Q in Bond!  I knew he looked familiar... I've been staring at this photo in that article JP posted for like 10 minutes.

I'm trying to find where/how to watch this and can't find it.  No scheduled air times on BBC America yet.

Well, BBC America's "About the Show" page does say "Coming Soon."  And their "First Look" page (dated in early March) says:

Ben Whishaw makes his return to BBC AMERICA as star of the thriller London Spy, set for a premiere later this year.

You might keep your eye on their Release Dates page -- so far it's just "to be announced."

Gatiss looks freakin' creepy in those photos.

I'll tell you what's really creepy, Sitty -- the fact that you can actually see those photos!

Seems to me that quoting something directly from the newsfeed threads (which are in the staff-only section of the forum) didn't use to work.  Or that is, it worked fine, but only staff members could see the quote.  Either this is a somewhat different situation, or the software no longer works the way it once did.

In any case, Arcadia, it's probably safest to quote the actual Sherlockology post, just in case the forum software changes again.

?? - that's what I did ... you can't see the pix? (But they're right there! )

Don't worry, I can see the pictures just fine -- and more to the point, so can Sitty, which is what puzzles me.  What you quoted was this newsfeed thread (which links to Sherlockology), rather than the Sherlockology post itself.

I've done that myself a number of times, but when I did it, nobody but staff could see the quote (which is how I discovered what I'd done).  Maybe the forum software just likes you better!  Or maybe you did something slightly different from what I did.  If I think of it later (i.e., after I've had some sleep), I'll go looking for those prior incidents and see exactly what happened then.

I hit "quote", went into text mode, copied the text, and transplanted it here. Was the easiest way I could think of, but do you do it different?

If you think those posted pictures are creepy...  Remember - I have warned you! :P

The first one was a little creepy, but I don't know the context or maybe I'd find them even creepier?

That probably is the easiest way -- I'm just amazed that it seems to be working.

OK, let me go dredge up some times when regular members couldn't get at it.  Maybe I was linking?  Hang on .... yup, the problem seems to be with linking (and possibly hot-linking as well) rather than quoting, so I was overgeneralizing.  Well now I've learned something!

The only actual mistake to avoid is linking (or hotlinking) to the newsfeed post in the staff forum.  It'll look fine to you, but regular members won't be able to get at it.  (And I think everyone who's been a staff member very long has done that at least once.)

Otherwise, whatever you like.  You can simply post a link to the Sherlockology page (or to whatever they link to) or you can quote them and/or hotlink to their photo.

As I predicted, the gifs are out in the wild and scaring people...

Here is the first moment you see Mark's character on screen.

You think the pics from Sherlockology are creepy? THIS is creepy. But remember I have warned you! smilie-oma.gif

And here are two whole pages of it, the second page includes some funny notes on Twitter and... somewhere. [Caution, this link contains adult content.--mod]

Oh, the whole show istn't like this. It had (I think) two explicit adult scenes so far. But the rest is quite good (not that those scenes are bad - just... well).

Unusual, but interesting.

Just ... explicit! :d

My problem with the show so far is that funny little idea that thatched in a dark corner of my brain:

Rich (name of Mark's character) seems to be some powerful person, possible even having some connections to the secret service.

So what we have seen could be just the Secret Life of Mycroft Holmes.

Don't know if I'll be able to get rid of this image in my head.
