That is fantastic.. but is it real?

I can see the pores and freckles etc. The details.

But I am very skeptical that this is real, especially at that size.

Re the figure. I think it is possible with the newest techniques (like modelling it bigger and than printing a smaller version. This is a protorype, so we have to wait if the painting (if it's painting and not printing) will look the same in mass production.

Is someone saying they're going to market those? As complete action figures, I assume -- or are they wine corks?

Haha, the winecork is a fun idea, definitely. I have now received my Dr.Strange Funko, and it has an ENORMOUS bobbling head....it's like the head with part of the cape is HUGE - I mean the heads are usually bigger, but this one is extra-Large. Have to make a pic of it soon - I finally got a laptop back on my own, yay! A lovely friend gave me her old one, and it still works so far better than my old one. :D

Photoshopped from his actual face, you think?

Maybe or something else.

Imho, it's too perfect imperfections.

Look at those freckles and fine lines hidden under some natural make up, the eyes, the uneven pores, the shadow, the frow, the lip textures and skin tones. There are so much details on figurine that size, and unnecessary perfect imperfections that are normally ignored/touched in figurines, like even Madame Tussaud's statue are 'perfected'.

The only thing that looks believable is the hair, which makes it more suspicious imo. If the beard and eyebrows are done in such details and precision, why is the hair look clay-like?

Anyway, this is my p-i-t-a scepticism, I hope I'm wrong, and if I was wrong, this is a fantastic work that deserves standing.. eh.. somersault ovation attempt. (And I don't even do cartwheel :p so expect some bone breaking move)

DS as a wine cork. In a set with a cape. There is surely a market for this.

Give me that wine cork with cape! They should make Sherlock with coat as well, I'll use it for umbrella, it would be so kewl... imagine carrying it around and let Sherlock with cape handle pops up from your backpack for unexpected weather and umbrella-whack-self-defence-move quick draw Deadpool's style. Wohoo!

Wow.. those are great. I don't mind to be proven wrong at all.

After few clicks I couldn't see their price yet.

Question 1: do they make Sherlock?

Question 2: anyone don't mind losing a kidney, I want..uhm..eh.. to sell..legally, hopefully, so uhm.. I can afford nice sherlock figurine. Noble cause..?

Dream on, dreamer. :p

Sorry, but there are no Sherlock Hot Toys figures. Those on the market are from another company and not that good. It might be due to UK (BBC) and US (Marvel) issue, I think Hot Toys are from USA...

I would say for a regualr figure you have to pay ca. 200 $

Hot Toys is based in Hong Kong. (Sorry, but that didn't sound right to me ... since when did the US start mass producing high end specialty products? I wish, but that doesn't sound like us. So I looked it up.)

$200!

I hope they don't make Sherlock then. But if they decide to make it one day, with that level of quality.. I will start to ask for kidney again. For noble cause of course. Of course.

I'll try not to buy any dr.strange merchandises, unless I really like the movie.

Benedict is already on his way back to Los Angeles after wrapping Sherlock, and it is assumed that he is doing pick-ups for Doctor Strange.

I just saw a "Dr. Strange" commercial while watching the Olympics. Not the full trailer; there was a blurb afterwards about where to see the entire trailer.
