I don't have chance to see the video now, but from the twitter close-up isn't it just a regular puffy windbreaker that could be folded into tiny compact size, that is quite popular? And did someone comment that he looks handsome, but you can't see his face in that picture, it doesn't even look like him.

I have only enough time to choose between being good and active at social media or being a clot about that here. It's obvious to me.

 

The worse thing was me and my smart a** were still trying to make sense that it is the picture of BC in his Dr.Strange costume (it sounds worse and worse, isn't it ), but..but..hear me out...the hair color is quite similar I guess, and those jackets don't look flattering on any body type. But there is something very wrong..the a**.. I know think BC has something more than that.. :P

P.S. What is that girl doing? Look the other way, there there..Dr. Strange. Well to be fair, If I was there, I would also try to ignore him and look the other way, then maybe dunk my head in ice water every five minutes. Not sure why, that is just how I operate :D

And it was a h%#* of a boost for Marvel Comics, planned or unplanned, it was a very powerful advertising ploy! Pity all the Batmans and Supermans down to the latest one haven't tried the same stunt in support of DC comics! But the released pictures were a treat.

Honestly, I doubt they are pap pix as stated everywhere, at least the good ones. They are too good, too clear and too many. Ben is looking into the camera several times, they would probably make a pap leave if they's noticed one, don't you think?

 

This might be a good planned campaign. :D

Yes, some of the pics were shot by bystanders and normal people. But also there are a lot of detailed images with really good quality.

The SFX look amazing so far ... this one still worries me though. Maybe because eveything looks so earnest? Most of the Marvel movies that have worked, have worked because they wink at themselves..... Agggh, so nervous!

This is just the first trailer... more of a teaser.  They're in deep with post production special effects at this point, and they will be tweeking those right up to the end.  Just imagine what the next trailer will look like.

Being a staunch DC Comics fan, I would ordinarily say to any Marvel attempt "well, good luck with that!" , but while the under-14s may be watching Harry Potter, the rest will be watching Dr Strange, so I'm rooting for Benedict, too.

I don't know. Right now, based on the two trailers, and if I didn't know the actors ... I'd pick Beasts. It has the playfulness that the Strange trailer lacks. And I don't even care for Ms. Rowling's stories.

 

Anyway, I wasn't thinking about box office. I was thinking about critics. I fully expect Beasts to crush the competition opening day, as it's a more well-known franchise ... but what about after that? Which one will have the buzz coming out of opening day weekend? They both feature brilliant actors, so I think it's going to come down to pure storytelling....

 

Ah, folks, don't mind me. It's just nerves. I always think the worst in situations like this; if I'm right, I'm not too disappointed; if I'm wrong, I have a nice surprise! Also Dr. Strange was my favorite comic book in the '70's, before it went off the rails, so I know how good it can be and how bad it can get.... :(
