I've turned off the like notifications. Now I don't get any notifications, I sort of miss them.

Not that you'll see this quote... :P  but thanks for the tip!  I didn't realize you could control what notifications you get!

It's under the My Settings under your username that is next to the sign out link up towards the top.

Actually, I didn't realize it either until the quote notifications disappeared! And yeah, what Camper said.

I haven't been getting quote notifications for a while now, either. Don't know why, but it's okay - so far, I've noticed if someone quoted me soon enough anyway.

I turned off my Like notifications a few weeks ago when I discovered that I could get a list of the full text of all my most recently-liked posts by clicking "Likes" in the left margin of my profile page.  With the Like-notification emails, I had to click on the link to a goodly percentage of the posts, because the brief bit quoted often was not enough for me to recognize the post -- and of course clicking on the link meant that the forum software thought I'd read the entire thread, so the next time I clicked "first unread post" it would take me to the first thing posted after I clicked the email link (thus often skipping some things I had not actually read).  Using my personal "Likes" page is ever so much more convenient!

But now that I'm no longer reading every thread every day, I would love to get Quote notifications!

Since 2 days ago, 6th April, I stop getting any notifications (email for replies).

The notifications also stop for likes, normally I can see them in notification box any time I log in.

I thought nothing ever happen anymore to the forum.  :nope_sad:

The only way to find out is by checking manually, which I tend to miss a lot of things.

Hm. You were getting email notifications when someone quoted you, is that right? Were you also getting "quote notifications" in the notification box? Or just "like" notifications?

Yes. Email notifications for quotes and replies.

No I didn't set it in notification box.

Yes, set the notification box for likes.

I never get those!!

Had you set up your Notification options to request any notifications, Sarina?  If so, which notifications had you requested, and via which medium (email or notification list)?
