This is combination of various photos about the same thing that is happening.

What is that?

Some sea creature spawning.

Geez, Camper.

It's too easy, isn't it? :p

Coral spawning to be exact.

Your turn.

Geez, I didn't even get a chance to see the picture. :d

I painted that one pink simply because all the other colors had already been taken and I wanted it to look different from what everyone else had done. Not my favorite either. I can't seem to find a picture of any of the others, though.

Okay, Camper, let us have it!

Posted

Camper, did you found anything yet?

Posted

Sorry a bit behind. I will try to look later when I'm on my computer.

If camper agrees, you can post something to guess.

I've still got nothing and as it says in the first post, more than 1 item to guess can be up at a time. So go at it whoever.

Ak, sorry, I don't have anything at the moment and I'm probably going to be really busy for awhile. :( Hopefully someone can jump in.

Found this.

Hopefully not obvious.

What is the function of these things?

Looks like the wooden version of a compass needle

Posted

It indeed looks quite similar now that you said that.

But sorry, it's not compass needle.

Interesting that the outsides appear to be dirty and/or roughly cut, and not necessarily the same size/shape. But the hole in the middle appears to be perfect and the same in each. Therefore, I surmise the block itself is not important, only the hole. Because it is used for, um ... something.

I believe this picture represent the unfinished ones. Unfinished as in, they will look like this, but smoother and more presentable.

You are right, the hole is important, but the 'block' is equally important too.

They remind me of a shuttlecock (or whatever the correct term is for the thing that threads the thread back and forth on a loom) for weaving.

Posted

Nope. Not that.

P.s. I don't remember the one you mentioned?

But I'm sure we haven't discussed about this one before.

That shape ... do they have something to do with a cog wheel?

Posted

Hands for a giant, wooden watch? Grandfather clock?

What it really reminds me of is a wind spinner we used to have. https://www.etsy.com/listing/64248555/wooden-helix-spiral-wind-spinner?show_sold_out_detail=1 Is it something equally useless? :P

Posted

Nope..not those.

Sorry for late reply.

This is quite useful, at least I wish I had it.

Does it go round and round like a teddy bear?

Oh, are we still playing this? Man, I don't even remember the clue .....

I'm assuming the hole is functional and not decorative? And do you use a bunch of these at once, or one at a time? And why don't you have one if it's so useful?
